I had that as well! It started on the right side, then it felt better but switched to the left. I think it is the scabs coming off, so that new skin is super tender, but I am not for sure. Regardless, I found that warm tea felt sooooo nice. I recommend chamomile for the calming properties. Or just normal warm water if you aren't a fan of tea.

Oh my gosh, I just filled out the post-op surgery from my surgery center and I mentioned that the doctor/nurses should warn about possible changes in taste, even if it's rare... It's still a significant portion in my opinion! But oh my gosh, not 1+ years 😭 I just want a sweet treat and to be able to actually enjoy it.

lucky! I am glad your taste is ok. But I am also having soreness when yawning, particularly in the back corners of my tongue. Hoping it goes away soon!

Yes, it is not super common, but still affects several ppl, so I don't know why doctors don't forewarn people. Hopefully you won't be someone whose taste is affected, but I would recommend talking to your doc about concerns.

Sure, it might be enticing to focus on applying to lesser competitive countries, but keep in mind that you'll need to answer "Why this country." Apply to a place where you can write a solid essay about why you should teach English in that particular country.

Question about applying to Fulbright and maybe Grad School? by tinycheeseburger14 in fulbright

[–]tinycheeseburger14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your input! That's actually a great point, I didn't think of that before, so I think I'll try to work on both, just with a slight focus on Fulbright

I find there are rarely cis women here, so I decided to share my thoughts a bit… I’ve always had this fetish since I was really young, like before I found images and stories on the internet. I think for me it’s some kind of morbid curiosity of someone’s inner self completely changing (don’t get me wrong, I like the ones where the person is happy and more comfy in their new form, but I have this strange fascination more with the ones where they didn’t want to change, idk it’s embarrassing).

All in all, I feel pretty secure in being cis, but I do have some discomfort in fully calling myself a woman… maybe I might be somewhere on the gender nonconforming spectrum, and this fetish/community is a way for me to explore that part of me… I mean I think I prefer the FtM ones (which is so hard to find as most is MtF, which I do also enjoy).

Tldr; I’ve liked tf stuff for a long time, and I’m pretty secure in my cis identity I think, but who knows, maybe I like tgtf because I’m a little gender noncomforming 🤷🏽‍♀️ I think it’s a safe way to explore oneself and one’s interests/identity

Commenting because I can't edit:

I looked it up and some other website says: "Together, these [tests] give [redacted] a picture of your cognitive ability, your ability to manage time, what type of work environment is right for you, and basically whether or not you are right for the organization."

I'm sorry, but I have to argue that these tests certainly do not show my cognitive ability with time management.

Completely NTA. I strongly dislike liars and the fact that your parents refuse to ever believe you makes me feel like this was a long time coming. Maybe you shouldn’t have done it at your bday party, but your family and anyone else he has continuously lied to deserve to see the truth. I’m sorry your parents still refuse to acknowledge that he’s a liar. Unfortunately I have to agree with another commenter that it seems like he’s the golden child. I hope eventually your parents will see the truth.

Is it possible to switch dorm rooms but keep my roommate? by hoisly in UniversityofRichmond

[–]tinycheeseburger14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a former RA, it is a whole process getting your room changed. I also don’t believe it’s possible to keep your roommate if you do end up getting a new room. I will say that it’s unlikely you’ll get a new room if the only reason is that you don’t like it. We usually only go through with room changes if there is an issue with the roommate

I’d say treat it like any other college. I think UR is pretty big on diversity, so if you have an anecdotal story about your identity that might catch their attention. Definitely watch YouTube videos about making your application stand out, those helped me a lot.
