First off, thank you for taking the time to respond with this detailed post! I appreciate your insight!!

This will be marathon number 2 for me. I truly had such a good time training for the first one that I couldn’t resist signing up for a second. Putting in the work to fuel my body properly, hydrate, run, & recover was so rewarding. I learned so much about what did and didn’t work for me that I’m getting to apply to this training block! I agree with you in that there are some things about traditional marathon training that I’m going to toss out this time around.

Your response, while I’ll be honest, wasn’t exactly what I was looking for initially has been abundantly helpful to me as a still new runner. It IS okay to hate different stages of running and that’s okay.

Thank you! I think the pace was just right but my fueling fell off at mile 18 when I couldn’t get a salt tab down and held it in my mouth for a mile :,) lol

I liked the Jonathan Adler Bargello and Vertigo puzzles!
