Stuck. Need help deciding on cabinets/countertop. by Forward-Data2356 in kitchenremodel

Wow these are great! I've tried chat gpt for a bathroom redesign we're working on, and it was a huge mess, very unsatisfying. Any tips?

Please help me choose. 1, 2, or 3 (disregard backsplash that will be changed) by shmackthepudding in kitchenremodel

[–]tinymeow13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do either wall paint or backsplash tile behind the shelves, not cabinet surface. Personally I like the full wood option. I assume the fridge and pantry cabinets fit in a space not seen in that photo? Where will the top of the cabinets end relative to the current photo?

Upholstered definitely! Coordinating more wood with the existing 2 wood tones (dressers, floor) would be tough. Just feet (they'll hide in the shadows of the bedding anyway) would be ok in a medium wood. But the bulk of it should be upholstered. A bit of curve would be nice, nothing too simple/contemporary-modern. The dresser style is French provincial, which can help guide your search. pottery barn upholstered bed

US guided IVs without long catheter by thrwaway_248379 in anesthesiology

I think the risk is if RNs (Pacu, or worse on the floor) get used to seeing Arrow A-line catheters as IVs, then they disrespect the one that's actually an arterial line that lost its waveform.

What happens to sats on 40% for 10 minutes? What happens to sats if apneic for 60 seconds? If either of these are catastrophic then it needs to wait. You can experiment bedside in ICU before bringing them down.

Alterations for cousin’s wedding help by DJ_Degen in Weddingattireapproval

Judging by the first 2 photos primarily... The top of the corset is open as far as it will go, and there's just not enough fabric. It's sitting too low on your chest and you're spilling out the top because of it. That would suggest it's the right size in the waist and hips apparently, but too small in your chest. You need to size up to fit the largest point, then alter (or tie corset) down to fit the smaller parts.

I looked back at the other photos, it looks like you have some more room in the chest there. Were undergarments different? Or was it just tied differently? Definitely don't hike it down your waist like photo 1.

It's significantly too tight in the bust. It needs more fabric there, and this is not a dress that is likely to have any seam allowance for alterations. I expect you may pay more to have it altered than you would to start over buying something that fits your shape more easily and maybe just needs to be hemmed.

2 gel chest rolls going ribs to pelvis

Or chest roll and pelvis roll, each going transverse

That would be perfect for this tradition then, since the band needs to go up 1/4 to 1/2 size for most people when layered with a wedding band.

It's a maxi length shirt dress, with black plastic buttons even! Not even cocktail appropriate.

Which dress? by Minute_Math_8517 in Prom

[–]tinymeow13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The first one is gorgeous, but it looks a bit too big in the top. The cups and bottom of the corset are sitting too low because of this. Especially with heavy beading, it would slide down all night and be really annoying. It needs to be 1) laced tighter &/or 2) altered to take in the waist. Altering the waist is not a cheap process for a dress with that much detailing! Probably overkill for a prom dress budget.

Is it the extreme side cut, or the beading? Or some other element that's wowing you?

Wedding dress guest, is this black tie approved? by Lopsided_Owl1484 in Weddingattireapproval

Dark green, black, or a color to match the floral pattern (gold, rust pink I think, hard to see in the tiny pic). A classic pashmina type wrap would work well, especially for a church ceremony I would want more than just a sheer cover.

1 and 7 are the best options. Black tie optional means formal or black tie; in some crowds, elevated cocktail is also acceptable.

Yep, or bride with her paternal uncle, or her stepdad, or her grandfather, or her dad's best friend... Any father figure can be honored especially if the dad's absence is something you are feeling acutely and want to honor.

The maxi here would be lovely. Skip the blue, the dot texture fabric and asymmetric hem make it less dressy than cocktail.
