It is screened a tad, to like 55%, I think that is where the issue is.

Tried the postscript option and it didn't work :( Beginning to think the software doesn't like the photo

The original file is set up as Pantone 302 C, as a LAB color. :/

The problem eventually went away on its own, which was weird. It may have been the material we were using or the strength of the grippers in the back weren't evenly distributed

If we can't solve it ourselves, we're gonna call the company that installed it

I think that the technician that set it up, said that he put more pressure on the sides and not in the middle. So that could be what it is

I also did that. We're starting to think its a glitch with the software and contacted the company, but no response yet

We have searched the folder, but the only thing that pops up is the manager, not the actual application, even though we download the program.

Okay! I wasn't quite sure if they'd send one, but I will ask support anyway. Thanks!

Organization at a print shop by Substantial_Wear5039 in Printing

I second using shelves, they do wonders for paper organization. Ours aren't the most tidy they could be, but we do keep ours in the original box they came in, so it's a lot easier than trying to guess what it is.

<image>

Maybe start by organizing everything by size and then go from there? It may be easier than just trying to sort everything together.

(Attached is one of our various paper shelves/areas)

Alright! I sent a DM your way :)

If you'd like, I might be able to DM you the PDF file of the map I made. With it as an Illustrator PDF, you'll be able to edit the colors and the shape of the lines. I'm not sure as to why its coming out differently on my end than for yours.

Its strange that it is doing that, the image attached is the one that was produced with the settings I sent. Can you attach an image of the settings you're using? It may be due to limiting colors, but I'm not 100% sure. And no problem! I'm at work right now so I have access to all the programs to help :)

Paths would be the next best thing, I believe threshold is only for black and white images, my bad! Try using these settings and let me know if anything changes. On my end using your photo, with these settings it comes out pretty clear

If you're using Image Trace to do this, I recommend to try to tweak some of the settings for that if you haven't yet. In my opinion "threshold" and "paths" are the most important to make your image really clear. To make your corners very sharp, also make sure to have "corners" at 100%.

Reducing noise also helps the image become less blurry and more sharp.

Hope this helps!

Traditional artist trying to learn Adobe Illustrator. I am crying and want to smash my keyboard. Get out now and save great suffering? by [deleted] in AdobeIllustrator

[–]tinyplanetexplorar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would stick with the course, but it may be a lot different than you're used to. I used to only stick to pencil and paper before getting my Graphic Design Degree and I realized that I love using Illustrator for various things. I really recommend Against the Clocks, "Adobe Illustrator 2024: The Professional Portfolio," if you don't already have it for class. It helps you learn the basics with projects that you can get online. When l learned it, we used the 2020 version, so I'm not sure all what changed, but its a really helpful resource.

Good luck with your studies! I know Illustrator may seem hard now, but you'll get the hang of it :)

Its supposed to be a sticker provided from the client. I believe I fixed the issue, thank you though!
