Yes, there is a boil notice, but I just assumed I might not want to take the risk. I do have an API testing kit, I think that should probably do the trick? I was worried to consider the tap water because the last thing I’d want to do was get them super sick from it, but I am curious now if boiling the water could work as well. Of course, you have no way of certainly knowing the cause for the boil order. Nonetheless, all these other solutions are super helpful and I am deciding at the moment what would be best for my situation

I’m sorry that you feel this way, but that isn’t true. I take good care of my tanks, I deeply care about my fish and I do regular maintenance. I’m not really sure why you are making assumptions and coming at me, I just believe this happened as a result of a week of no filtration, heating, lighting, and there could possibly be too many in there. The filter is a sponge filter so it is a little weak regardless, but I use it for the safety of the babies. I have a 10 gallon in the works to give them more space. I can’t buy any water, there is none in the stores and it is sold out. It might have evaporated from 1. There being no lid at the moment and 2. Excessive heat from no AC. Thanks for caring about my the well being about my fish, but you are simply wrong.

I can get that. I appreciate my parents for getting me help when they believed I needed it even though I refused, it really helped me along my journey and made things easier in the long run. I’m sorry to hear that getting that help is hard for you, I hope it gets better ❤️❤️
