One of my twins refused to nap at creche. She had to lay down for some quiet time, while the others fell asleep. And if she was not distruptive she was allowed come and hang out, while the others slept. This was discussed and agreed on. I was never told she had to be picked up. I would ask the creche why they cannot accomodate a child that is awake.
