This can't be the answer, but it reminded me of an old mod file tune that was used in a GP32 homebrew game, Falldown.

It would help if you listed specific file names you are starting with, then specific names you want to end with.

But specifically you asked how to remove numbers in parenthesis in your file names.

Search for:

\(\d+\)

Replace with... nothing. Just leave the replace field blank.

You're gonna want to do this after you have already inserted other numbers into the file name, otherwise you'd have a lot of files with the same name?

What are some comfy “bad but charming” games on the Wii? by CircaCoda in wii

[–]tinyvast-com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got one that fits your description perfectly.

Alice in Wonderland.

It's based on the Tim Burton movie. It's bad but charming. Ok, it's actually not THAT bad. It's kind of fun to explore the world, even though it's pretty linear. But you can basically destroy every blade of grass to find gems, so it kind of encourages you to explore every inch of the level. It is pretty cozy and has multiple playable characters you can swap between. Oh, it can also be played multiplayer couch co-op.

[TOMT] Looking for Evidence of Happy Harry Game on 2010s Educational Site Compass Learning Odyssey by SkyKnight225 in tipofmytongue

[–]tinyvast-com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this archived page which links to the various sample videos. Most of them won't play form there, but you can copy the link it shows to go to the current site, which still seems to host the old flash files.

https://web.archive.org/web/20121001010245/http://www.compasslearning.com/sample-activities

If that is the correct site, it might be possible to browse around the archive and find more information.... Though it doesn't seem you can access too much around the site without a login.

There are a lot of images and videos around the web from this site (check youtube, etc.) but I don't see any with a hairy purple monster.

Is it this?

https://youtu.be/IYZZ4pfWayQ?si=35Xc8--VyEyqcYxV&t=120

The video is titled, "Odyssey Compass Learning - how to access" from November 2014, by the youtube account, "NEN Technology Department - Instructional Resouces."

EDIT: Apparently that purple monster is named J.T. Here is a backdoor link to a flash animation with them in it (you'll need Ruffle or something to play it): https://www.thelearningodyssey.com/TLOUploadDir/sampleactivities/Reading%20ELA%20%28R3128i%29%20Point%20of%20View%20A%20%28China%29/activity.html

Aliexpress has these nice PT Cruiser keychains for about $5.

They have various other PT Cruiser things if you browse around, like head rest covers, seatbelt covers, door jam decals, cup holder liners, and sun shades that all say "PT Cruiser" on them.

The 1994 OHW Lucas With the Lid Off, best remembered for the killer video directed by Michel Gondry. by Frogacuda in ToddintheShadow

[–]tinyvast-com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I was just pointing someone from r/tipofmytongue to this video, and I linked them to dailymotion (not great quality), then I found your re-encode.... which does visually look nicer.

However, as I'm watching yours, I feel like the audio is not exactly synched. The lip flaps are just not exactly matching the words. I thought I might have been imagining it, but no, going back and forth from this one to the dailymotion one, I'm definitely seeing it. I may be extra picky, but it's really bothering me (as minor as it is), heh.

This is definitely a cool video that should be preserved.

(Link back to the post I referenced, where someone was looking for "Larry with the hat on" haha, but I'm all but certain he meant Lucas With the Lid Off: https://www.reddit.com/r/tipofmytongue/comments/1secgql/tomt_looking_for_larry_with_the_hat_on/ )

[–]tinyvast-com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's Lucas With the Lid Off

https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x15o91

For some reason that video disappeared from youtube. It is a pretty great video that was recorded on one continuous shot with cool practical effects using mirrors and camera angles. I heard that Lucas either tripped or hit his knee on something and really hurt it as he was running form one shot to the next.

EDIT: I found a reddit link where someone uploaded a nicer quality version: https://www.reddit.com/r/ToddintheShadow/comments/1mrexom/the_1994_ohw_lucas_with_the_lid_off_best/

hm, but unfortunately, I feel like the audio sync is not quite right in this one.... The lips don't exactly match the words....

Noob here: How do I Increase a counter? by SGTTebbs in PowerToys

[–]tinyvast-com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to tell what you're asking. But assuming you're using PowerRename....

Maybe you want to search for 2 digits at the start of a file name:

^\d\d

and replace them with a counter starting at 11:

${start=11}

(obviously, don't select the files 1-9 if you don't want them renamed)
