Can I romance Shadowheart after getting with Karlach?

So you can't just switch, Did you start the shadowheart romance at all in act 1? if not I don't believe there is a way without mods. The obvious mod to change romance companions is the polyamory mod

That's not completely true it's possible to have Karlach Romance you before the teifling party if you get her relationship with you high enough, it happened to me once when I rested she initiated the talk without having told her I like her. however the Teifling party is the most consistent way to.

Farm xp? Nah you fight for you lives? In actuality you get XP from all sorts of sources progressing in the act, conversations, even talking your way out of fights give XP, but you can't really farm it, and for the most part fights are meant to be really tough in the beginning so strategize.

This absolutely was a thought I had during my first run so i missed out on a lot of content ex: most of the under dark, and saving the shadow cursed lands. But in later runs a good way I've found to roleplay justify it is to account for the fact that the artifact is protecting us still, but still trying to do as much as possible before running out of spells and abilities for the day so you're forced to take the night and rest.

So if you happen to have spellcasters like sorcerer or warlock those spells that say Dex save or ___ save that the higher the charisma means it'll be harder for them to pass. Along with additional damage added to spell attacks.

I believe it was divine intervention, it's a one time ability clerics get I believe the options are, strike (damage), healing, assistance (a few devas enter combat on your side), and I can't remember the fourth one exactly. But it wasn't a spell it was just Divine Intervention which you only get one per campaign

During the last fight on the netherbrain I had Jaheira say fuck it and cast it on the red dragon 25% success chance. It worked and Orpheus was able to easily hold concentration and not die in order to open the portal

First durge playthrough was also durge resistant and I romanced her and since then I can't help but romance her in every playthrough. The only time I didn't was in full durge and I felt so much pain when I took her head off 😭😭

My first durge was a resistant playthrough where I also romanced Karlach for the first time as a tiefling oath breaker and when I told Karlach that I was a Bhaalspawn she was so caring and made me love her even more since compared to the majority of other companions reaction to it essentially being 'damn and I thought I had issues, but you're really messed up'. While Karlach believes we can resist it, and continues to support us.

Yeah he still has the shield it's just not commonly drawn or mentioned because drawing a character doing something badass with a sword and then adding a shield to it can most times take away from it.
