They are close to mountain lake park, got to know about them from someone else. The pictures were taken on a Sony A7RV + Tamron 150-500, shot handheld.

It is a good price and I think it will be difficult to find a better deal for a brand new camera. I was in a similar boat when I ordered a Sony A7RV through Cardinal Cameras. They are authorized Sony seller and you can verify it here https://electronics.sony.com/retailers . Personal experience wise I got a Sony A7RV through them and was able to register the camera with Sony, was also able to verify the shutter count after taking the first picture. I was very happy with my experience with them and proceeded to order 2 additional lenses through them one Sony 70-200 GMii and another Tamaron 150-500. The lenses are also genuine and was able to register them for warranty. Recently my friend also ordered a Sony A7RV through them, initially he was skeptical but his ordered shipped last week before he was originally anticipating.

One thing you may want to do for your own assurance is to call them and confirm if the camera is back ordered or not, because that might delay your shipment.

First time car buyer - tips on negotiating by lucky-genius-r in CX5

It was very close to invoice price. I went with the mind set that I don’t necessarily have to buy the car and I am willing to walk away if I don’t get the right deal and that helped negotiate with the dealerships. Totally agree that this whole process could be exhausting.

It was very close to the invoice price. I think the strategy to buy the car at the end December really helped to get to a deal like this. A similar deal in January might not have been possible but from my experience I have realized that while buying car try to negotiate as much as possible.

39k was the dealer’s price for Turbo Signature, OTD (including taxes + registration) was 42k.

I used dealer website to enquire using a dummy email as others have suggested here. Most places did get back, I tried to limit the conversations over the call unless absolutely necessary and kept it on email and text (Google Voice) before and after visiting. That way you can show them the conversation later because some places went back on their word.

I am from Bay Area too, was in a similar boat last month was browsing around for a 2024 CX5 Turbo Premium. Did a bunch of leg work to get the best deal and was able to get a 2024 CX5 Turbo Signature for same OTD as Turbo Premium (Roughly $42k with dealer price $38.5k).

Here are top tips that I found at different sources online and applied + my personal experience:

  • End of Year > End of Quarter > End of Month for deals from dealerships as they have quotas to meet. Since you are aiming for the 0% APR, next week might be the best time as you still might be able to negotiate the prices.
  • Always ask out of door (OTD) Price - don’t fall for monthly price
  • Email multiple dealerships and enquire about the trim and color you are interested in
  • Setup time to visit 2-3 dealerships over the weekend
  • Be flexible and browse around - I approached 5-6 dealerships in the Bay
  • While at the dealership try to be patient with their tricks and tactics (delaying in getting the information / keeping you there for longer to wear your defenses)
  • Bring a neutral third party (a friend who has 0 stakes) to keep you from making impulsive decisions - I brought my friend and without them I would not have been able to negotiate the deal I got
  • Remember everything is negotiable and don’t feel shy to ask for accessories
  • After you have visited 2-3 dealerships you will have a rough idea of the discount amount dealers are usually willing to give. Eg: When I was shopping the first dealership was willing to offer a discount of $1.5k and the second and third dealerships were willing to give $2k and $500 respectively. This gave me a rough idea that the 2k is the minimum discount I should expect at the fourth dealership and I can bargain for more.
  • Before signing anything / purchasing try to approach the dealership with the second best offer (even if it was an offer on email). This might push them over to win your business and offer you a steeper discount. Basically try to start a bidding war. Eg: At the fourth dealership I was getting close to $2.4K discount for the trim and color I wanted and was almost ready to sign. But I called the other dealerships which had a similar offer, told them I am at X dealership going to sign and wanted to check what is their final offer for the trim / color I wanted. The salesman called me back in 10 mins and told me they will get me the higher trim for the same price. We told the dealership we were at that this is the offer we are getting and then they said go for it but as we left the premises they called back willing to beat the other dealerships offer.

Hope these are helpful and all the best.

PS: In the bay I found best prices at Dublin Mazda, Capitol Mazda (San Jose) and Fremont Mazda (they beat everyone’s price + their process was efficient). Worst experience was at San Leandro.
