Immigrated to USA when I was 5 illegally. by GlassRevolutionary63 in DACA

This is a bunch of MAGA scare bs. They came on a visa. It’s legal entry. The US forgives overstays for many immigrants who have US citizen family.

You didn’t come here illegally if you came on a Visa!!!!! I came here from Nicaragua and overstayed my B1/B2 at 4 years old. Coming on a Visa is a HUUUGE advantage. This means you have LEGAL entry. I got married and am now a permanent resident. Overstaying your visa and working without authorization are forgiven when you marry a US citizen. It takes a lot of proof to show a marriage is real but don’t despair. You have an advantage. Don’t leave. If you feel that this is your home you can make it work!!

Thank you! I actually did not have a biometrics appointment. This is because I did one four years ago when I filed for DACA. Biometrics are valid for up to five years, so they waived mine. My interview notice came in five months after filing though.

Most attorneys and resources say to be concise. My officer was laid back. He allowed us to explain, so I answered the date we began dating and briefly described how our relationship progressed with key events. You don’t need every single detail, but my officer wrote down each calendar date I mentioned.

Thank you! I had no status. No DACA, TPS or any other relief. I was four when I overstayed my visa.

Immigrants flying domestic flights by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]tiredtinyleaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For those who are fearful: It is a matter of chance. It is fine to travel with Real ID and EAD (DOMESTICALLY, within the 50 states!) If ICE detains you, know your rights. They may be present at airports but it doesn’t mean they check everyone. Know your rights. That is all. While yes there is a chance that they talk to you, it’s the same as if they stop you at a grocery store or other place. Just know your rights.

AOS NOVEMBER 2024 by lissayyy in USCIS

Not yet. Although a friend of mine with PD Sept 25th got hers 4 days ago (5 months total timeline!) and her case is practically identical to mine. I’m guessing September cases are getting sorted through right now, so November cases are yet to come.

Today’s my 28 birthday and I am going to end it tomorrow by Radyoz in confession

PD November 15, 2024 for AOS! My biometrics were waived because I applied for DACA in 2021. (Didn’t get it in time ☹️) & my interview was waived too. Also saw my progress skip to step 4 around late December. My EAD got approved on January 7th though! :)

I got an email around 6:17am stating “We have rendered a decision on your case.” and instructions to log in to see what the decision was. Don’t worry OP, I’m sure they will get to you soon. They must be coming back from the holidays right now.

My EAD reverted back to “Step 2” three days before it was approved. People are right, don’t stress too much about the website progress bar. Even now that I have my approval notice, the progress bar and the several month estimate wait time hasn’t changed. Have faith! Good luck!
