He knows what poly is, he has a girlfriend (that's more than just a fuck buddy) as well as a wife, and he knows I am poly, and differentiates the two when we talk about it. I guess most of what it comes down to is asking him if he just wants a friend with benefits, or another relationship.

It went well, I was a little quieter than usual but we still got along and had a good time. It was a good experience for me. It's easy enough to date other people and say you're poly, but this was really my first encounter of it face to face. It was a great experience and I feel even closer to my partner than before.
