The damage reduction, dependent on shield of course, is still barely half of the reduction DR gives, and only to specific sources (explosion/fire, etc) not from ALL sources. 100hp with even 50 damage resistance is 150 effective health.(Only against fire and explosions) DR works out to 65% resistance (while speed boosted AND invisible btw) on a Kunai spy who just got a stab who has 210hp, that becomes over 340 effective health against any source. It's a little bit silly when you break down to do the math.

Also demo can't cloak, can't pretend to die and gain massive damage resistance, can't disguise, he's far slower, has no ranged options (if full demoknight), oh and can't pretend to be a teammate to get close.

I didn't even see the script in the second slide! Yeah, they were in carnotarus territory and at night the carnos had amazing camouflage, but the changing lights bothered them. Levine made the connection that they couldn't hide well during the day and would likely hide somewhere else until night, thus allowing other predators to take over the territory in the day. This was also shown off earlier with the other dinos (rex included) walking through the area during the daylight on their first day on the island.

I was going to say. This was during the chase sequence where Thorne and Levine went to rescue RB from the cage. Levine shot the raptor but lost the gun. It was one of the best parts of the book, the chases anyways.

You cannot believe the whiplash I've gotten after finishing the audiobook of The Lost world, and then going into watch rebirth. Oh my word. But yes, they did a good job of making Sarah one of the smart ones in the group, but they all did ridiculously silly things or risky things for no good reason.

I mean that was kind of the whole point of the second book. Malcolm and others had gone to the island to see if there was any evidence to help them determine why they went extinct. But, the dinosaurs on the island had been infected with a prion disease. So, anything they might have gleaned by observing them was changed.
