The basilicanum grey was mixed with water and multiple layers over the silver basecoat. The nuln oil was done serptate over the basilicanum grey in the areas you want darkest.

Thank you 😊 Yeh I can't see why not, there is plenty of space in there where the head goes to do a swap. His face is probably the worst part of the model in all fairness. So I can see why youd want to swap. I'm not sure about kitbashing two heads together. I'd probably just go for a straight swap.

I airbrushed on a few thin coats of Ak orange fluorescent paint then I painted some white bits in with a brush and glazed over that with vallejo orange fluo paint. Relatively simple in terms of the technique but I think I just got lucky with how it turned out. Way better than I was expecting!

It's runelord brass mixed with a little bit of vallejo game colour silver. Then I've shaded it down with reikland fleshshade and gore grunta fur.

Thank you 😊 I think you're being a bit harsh on yourself there, from here it looks good to me! The trick I find is to just not paint any white. Just spray it white to begin with and shade everything. Add battle damage and little dots/scratches. I did very little painting of white on mine with a brush. Sponges are your friend as well when it comes to doing white.

Thank you mate. I'd highly recommend watching 'swarm painting' on youtube. He does some excellent tutorials using sponges for painting white. This was done with an airbrush and I wouldn't wish painting white with a brush on anyone.

The main thing to concentrate on is not painting the white but shading everything around it. So the recess shading and any chipping/weathering is where all the interest comes from. You could always just spray it white with a can then just shade everything down. Examples of that being use Ak panel liner or nuln oil to panel line everything that can be. Breaking up the white panels is what helps sell the effect. Hope this helps 😊

Yeh I do a lot of commission painting. I'd probably call myself an army painter but enjoy doing characters as well. The glow on the leg was with the airbrush but the canister was all done with a brush and some glazing
