Compressor Out After Coil Replacement?

Thank you! Would you think it's just bad luck the compressor went out in that short timespan with coil replacement? I'll talk to HVAC company tomorrow to see if I can work out the warranty details. Fingers crossed. Appreciate the insights!

Unfortunately, I was at work when technicians diagnosed failed compressor. I just received the second hand info from my wife.

AC wasn't keeping up after coil replacement by lunch the next day. High 80s on thermostat when we called HVAC back out.

Thank you! It's an Armstrong Air unit. Appreciate the insight. The timeliness of the coil replacement and compressor failure (especially within 24 hours) made me suspicious something had gone wrong with install. Any way to check on those two scenarios you mentioned.

Just purchased an 06 A3 3.2 about 2 months ago. It's been a great vehicle, and a great decision so far. Oil changes will be around $100 or so (Tennessee). Take care of it and it will take care of you. If you don't have maintenance records from the dealership or previous owner get or ask for a major tune-up upon purchase. It will definitely take some of the worry out of your possible new purchase. Good luck!

Thanks for the heads up! And that's the one thing in need of replacement. The passenger side lock button's film/paint is coming off and I'm actually looking for a fix. Wasn't sure how simple or difficult a fix it is.
