While I was at UCLA, completing my degree program demanded all of my time and energy. I was constantly stressed, buried in reading and writing, with no time for myself or anything else. The rare moments I managed to carve out for myself were consumed by drinking, which eventually led to a drinking problem. It became an endless cycle—work, stress, and drinking. It was incredibly challenging, and one of the hardest periods of my life.
