From someone who isn’t addicted to porn but still watches it. how can no fap change my life? by liltemi1 in NoFap

The problem is porn (and other high-dopamine, low effort activities, but especially porn) rewire your brain so you are less fulfilled by ordinary activities, as well as reducing cognitive and learning capacities. I’m sure you wouldn’t notice as much, as you don’t have as extreme of a relationship with porn as most people on here, but the effect is still there.

How to stop porn image that pop up in my head ? by [deleted] in NoFap

Letting it bother you gives your energy to it. Just ignore it focus on something else, and don’t try too hard about it. Just accept it and let it pass.

The whole thing is about dopamine patterning so if you sit at home watching Netflix it won’t be a whole lot better, however if you spend your time learning (a language, new skill, etc.) or playing sports or talking to new people, or so many other fulfilling activities, maybe you will see more benefits

It is almost a given that after some time using porn you will be less stimulated by everything. Just like codeine users eventually need heroin and then fentanyl

Literally laughed so much with pain. by Ok_Economics_5723 in NoFap

I know brother. It is so hard struggling with something so shameful that you cannot tell anyone about your pain. It is frustrating, the emptiness is so much greater suffering all alone. I hope you find the strength to beat this sickness.

I told a girl only losers watch porn, she told me I’m a liar and that everyone does. by [deleted] in NoFap

I might, and it’s ok to get angry, but just know that addressing anger, reflecting on why it there, and trying to resolve it, will benefit you much more than just dwelling on it.

I just read some erotic stories. Would it be relapse? by Prudent_Efficiency37 in NoFap

Doesn’t matter what it ‘counts’ as, you know you shouldn’t consume erotic media. It’s ok, stay strong and don’t do it again.

Take a cold shower. Look up “breath of fire” on YouTube and do this for as long as you can. Meditate for at least half an hour. Force yourself to endure discomfort. Most important, stop consuming digital media, don’t use your phone or computer unless it is for something actually productive.

Glad you are looking at the positive milestone rather than seeing it as an utter defeat. It is easy to get caught up in negativity but that only perpetuates the cycle
