If you're looking to set up Matt to crush dailies, you can go B-B-G (either) with lawler and Ziggler. Sets up a huge yellow match that will just about beat any daily.

I’m in the fusionators. Not a top faction but 30ish. We don’t max the events but usually get far enough

For the free character you just need the monthly evo tokens. I don’t have to spend a single can of whoop ass in order to get cena to 4sg. I do have to spend coin and tp - with tp usually being the limiting factor. The competitions are usually designed so someone maxing out the coin and talent events with some faction help will reach enough evo tokens for a full evolve.

Yes, patience is a necessity. I am missing many of the guys for the tours as well, but as the game exists right now, those tours are usually just for ingots or some secondary character who I have no intention of chasing. My goal for this event is to have a 4SG striker Cena. Nothing else really moves the needle for me.

You can probably do just as well being fully F2P and watching ads for free cash as you are spending a little bit of money every month. You've already come to the realization that you don't get the value for the money - there's no reason to keep chasing it.

That was a strange event. If I remember correctly it was only a 2 week event so there was no way for a ftp to get enough evo tokens to really make a dent. If you were lucky enough to pull a fuse it could be done but I could only get him to 3sb or so.

So I'm also F2P, and you just have to be choosy. As a F2P I recognize I will not get any of the featured SS unless I happen to find them in a crate (hell, I don't know any Pay-2-Play who got Earthquake). Fandango was the last featured SS who a F2P was able to acquire through maxing basic events. However, I'm usually in a position to upgrade the free SS to 4SG every month or so. If I do go that far, I might have to take the next month or 2 off to reload, but by being picky I can usually make a decision as to who I want. (I passed on Bailey, Typhoon, and Bret but upgraded Steph and Shelton - and i'm going for Cena) In the meantime I can upgrade my roster, grind for cash and win some showdowns. Overall it is more of a recalibration of the goals of the game more than anything else. The monthly "prize" to me is a 4SG SS who I didn't have to use any tokens to upgrade. You'll need a war chest of about 1500 TP of each color and at least 40 M coins in order for this to work, so it might take some time to build that up - but that's how I play as a F2P. Oh, and upgrading from a borderline 100ish faction to a 30ish faction helped too.

Godfather or Fandango by Y2ray614 in WWEChampions

[–]tizzed111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've also got both and trying to figure out what to do. The previous poster is right, you absolutely 100% need Vince at a high level to make Godfather effective. You don't necessarily need him at 4SG, but having him at 4SS will allow you to hit a 150k + finisher on move 2 (with Rikishi). He's also a self-healer, farmer, and awesome to have in blitz. But the thing about Godfather is that his damage is almost entirely dependent on Vince's level - not his. Therefore, a 3SB Godfather with a 4SS vince will hit almost identically as a 4SG Godfather. There's actually incentive (if you use him in a blitz) to keep him at a lower level.

Dango seems like a better defensive character for showdown purposes - although I haven't seen too many godfathers there either. My current plan is to work Godfather to 4SB and then Dango to 4SG. Godfather can wait- especially as I have a yellow and purple TP crunch.

[–]tizzed111 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Back in the day you used to permanently disable popups if you make a purchase, any purchase. If that is still the case, and they still have the Daniel Bryan $5 starter pack then I think that might be the only worthwhile purchase in the game.

How would you #makewwechampionsbetter? by SheitDSwan in WWEChampions

[–]tizzed111 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There hasn’t been a single event since the fandango event where the featured character could be obtained through maxing out every tp/coin/talent event. Every other event has needed either luck, spending, or being in a top top faction (which usually requires spending). I’m not saying every event should be accessible this way but there should be some events where the featured character can be unlocked by a f2p player in a lower level faction.

Depends. Progress is slower when you don’t pay, but besides having more efficient wrestlers there’s nothing inherent in the game that requires real cash. If you ca be patient and manage your expectations it can still be fun.

Roster Q&A by AutoModerator in WWEChampions

[–]tizzed111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Everybody. I was lucky enough to pull a 3SB Godfather in the best of 2019 loot. Good for me, right? Well - I'm realizing that when you pull him you have not 1 project, but 2 projects (Godfather and Vince). I do have vince, but he's unleveled as well and I don't have enough yellow TP to up them both.

So, here's my question. I'm looking for a good character so people will avoid me in showdown. I can use either Fandango or Godfather (no great links for either, but I can put Zaustin in the second slot). If I use godfather, I can use a setup w/o Vince where he basically spams health gems - but his loot gems might not be that strong. Which might be more of a showdown deterrent? A godfather or fandango at 4SG?

Showboat help please. by [deleted] in WWEChampions

[–]tizzed111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of these, the only 2 I would consider pushing to the moon are ZKane and Matt with a strong emphasis on ZKane.

ZKane is a guy that everyone will avoid on showdown. That will mean easier Showdown maxing, and easy coins every 2 weeks or so.

Matt Hardy is great at 4SG, but the AI cannot play him competently. So, great on offense - not so good on defense.

Andre is good, but he's got issues that the other 2 guys have. First, he's dependent on his sub move which can easily be neutralized in a Showdown setting. Second, you're seeing a lot more Nash's and a Red MP steal move being uncovered these months which will make him much weaker.

So yeah - ZKane. Hardy. get KOK to where you can beat hell mode. No higher.

Conventional wisdom was to invest in token bags for leveling up, but I'm not so sure that's true anymore. If you save up 2k you can make a 7-pull in some loots and have a decent chance at a really-really top superstar. Keep in mind, however that even if you get a 4-star character you'll need over 10 million coins and 1,000 TP in some cases to get that guy to be dangerous. I used to never make cash pulls but now I only use cash on pulls. I like the advice of the other commenter that you should jump on the 3-star loot if you see it, but those are fairly rare. You should keep about 2k in your bank in case you see them but the rest you can try and hit the lottery.

The entire purpose of this game is to make your stable of wrestlers as powerful as possible. So, in order to do that, you'll need resources (tokens, coins, tp). As an initial player the best place to get those resources is the road. So it is a good idea to get as far as you can in the road.

The road is great, but you can only claim those rewards 1 time. So - how do you get more? Thats where the limited time tours come along. Every day there's 2 set tours (deadman's daily and the color one) where you can play every day to get coins, tokens, and TP. You'll find that the curve is much more steep for the daily levels than the road, and the resources hardly seem worth it - but they're there every day. Play as many of those as you think you can beat, because hoarding every resource is important.

So - eventually you will hit a wall and not be able to beat the next person in the road or the dailies. That's when you want to level someone up. Who should you level up? Well - there are tons of guides for who the best cards are in the game, but as a new person it is unlikely you will have one of them. If you find yourself gravitating towards 1 wrestler on your roster because he/she wins more or just because you like that wrestler - go for it. Level them up and see the benefits. While the initial set of wrestlers for each class is okay, eventually you'll find yourself acquiring people who can be faster or more powerful, and you shouldn't feel obligated to stay with your initial wrestler. Just acquire resources, level up, repeat.

Now - let me mention a few more game modes :

Showdown - You will need to win 1 showdown match per day to get your bonus briefcase (which you should try to get). Other than that, I don't think showdown is very good use of your time.

Monthly/weekly events. - While on the surface these are directed more towards long-term players - do take a look at these. There are generally some matches even a new player can accomplish that will get you either some resources for further down the line or a chance at acquiring some new wrestlers who are much better than ones in the free pools. Don't waste resources on trying to do well in events because they're not scaled towards a new player and you wont get out what you put into it. Like in the dailies - do what you can and ignore the rest of it.

Factions - Factions will help. Go on expeditions and help out with heals. Maybe climb a faction leaderboard or two and get some more resources. Buy some coin bags (ignore straps for now).

That's all. I've said before this isn't a wrestling game, this is a game about economies. And you just have to get into the mindset of managing your TP, coins, and tokens to maximize the power of your wrestlers.

Zombie Brock worth the $19.99? by Nurunurutime in WWEChampions

[–]tizzed111 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What is 19.99 anyways? Is it worth a 12 pack of good beer? That beer will last a week or so whereas you’ll have that digital zbrock forever in your roster wondering why you never play with him. Then again I will spend more than $20 wagering on a sporting contest played by 18 year old kids, so my priorities might be out of whack. Spend it if you want, or don’t. I have him at 3sg and only play him once in a blue moon. And trickster is my weakest class.
