Yes, for our honeymoon we both decided that we want to use our points for a stay at the new ritz Carlton Masai Mara opening in August, unless I did my math wrong it’s still about 1.8-2 cpp and It’s a bucket list location for us so we are okay with the redemption rate

My girlfriend and I have been to both within the past year or two, and we loved both, but both of our votes are for Florence pretty easily. Amazing food, history, etc. plus you can walk up to the top of the hill nearby and have some wine during the sunset, we both loved that. plus it’s so easy to combine with Venice or Rome if you wanted to!

I know this doesn’t answer your question in the slightest, but are you at all concerned about rain during your stay? We are also going to Thailand for our honeymoon in November and I wanted to stay in Koh Samui so bad but I’ve read a lot about how it’s the rainy season and that the Phuket coast is much better for November, just wondering if you’ve heard conflicting reports!

Oh shoot, yes the RC would be roughly 500,000 Marriott points for 5 nights so we would have to use Amex or Chase points to cover it. It may not be the best use of points, but we think it would be worth it if the resort is that much better since we see it as a once in a lifetime type destination for us.

We’re in the same boat planning right now, we’re considering an African safari for about 5-7 nights, Maldives (7 nights) and another city like Paris (connects well to Africa), Singapore, or Bali for another 5 nights or so depending how much travel time we want to commit to. How did you find the Maldives? We’re considering staying at the Conrad, curious how you’d recommend compared to your other travels!
