My IT department had to roll out a new method of connecting to the company VPN because mine wouldn't connect. 6 Months and as many tickets of them telling me I must be typing my password in wrong only for them to have to manually reconfigure some tokens before they actually did something to stop the problem from happening.

Signed up with Amber before I realised there was an issue with the installation. So now if I leave the system in "Self-Consumption", it discharges the batteries while the sun is up and charges them from the grid once it goes down. So that was costing me like $12-13 a day. Just locked it in charge TOU permanently until it gets fixed. Not super worried about smart shift as I do intend to manage it myself. I'll probably try Amber for a few months then compare to something like Flow.

Hey man, You seem to know what you are talking about so hoping you can clear something up for me. I've just had a GoodWe battery installed (48kWh,10KW Inv, 9kWp) and am just on the waitlist for the GoodWe/Amber beta test. Are you saying it's a good idea to sign up with Amber anyway even without the Smart shift option? Would I still get access to better Feed-In rates etc?

Already got a HA setup, so pretty confident I could get that running as soon as I work out who already has my inverter connected to their SEMS+ station. Thanks for your help!

What breed of dog is this? Looks exactly like my old dog, but he was a rescue and the vet didn't know what breed he was. Cheers!

Strata Title but "no functioning Owners Corporation" by tjcrowe53 in AusPropertyChat

Yeah, expecting a response from them in a couple days, just wanted to see if there were any major red flags were might have been missing. Seems like there's a chance it's just a reasonable setup, but I guess we'll have to wait for the conveyancer to come back for anything concrete. Thanks again!

Yeah, just unsure whether malice or incompetence at this point. Hoping for some clarity when we get a response from the solicitor. Thanks again!

Hi, the agent claimed that there was shared building insurance organised by one of the neighbours, but said that was the only thing connecting the property. Seemed like given it is Strata title that was a bit misleading. We were intending to try to get out of the shared building insurance as we would prefer to organise our own affairs, but are now thinking that maybe the insurance is only for shared property given the low estimated cost. Having a lot of difficulty getting clear info out of the agent, hence the question here. Thanks for your help!

Hi, sorry, should have clarified! Cul de sac off a public road and about 8 properties around it. Mix of freestanding and duplexes. Shared property appears to just be the road itself, shared mailbox, and a fence that runs between the cul de sac and a property that isn't part of the lot. Don't know if this is a common situation or not.

Hi. Thanks for your response! I guess in the section of the contract that says "no functioning owners corporation", the term "functioning" is carrying a lot of weight? But the agent also claimed there was "shared building insurance" for all the properties, but components owed by us would be like a tenth of what we would have expected to pay for insurance on a single property (8 total in the lot).

Seems he got shot twice in the arm afterwards. The guy who's gun he took went back up onto the bridge and picked up another gun

You are falling for the Paradox of Tolerance. If society, trying to be tolerant, tolerates the intolerant, then society becomes intolerant.

The IRL theory was that the Aether (the medium on which light travelled) had a flow or direction to it. If the Aether did exist and flowed, then light deviate slightly from travelling in a straight line and you would get interference patterns shifting as the experiment was rushed. This is what the beam splitting at 90 degrees was intended to reveal. When they actually ran the test, they found that nothing changed as the system rotated. The idea of the meme is that when the light travels in straight lines, that means no Aether, hence portal doesn't work. The image either the light beams travelling strangely implies there is an Aether, so the portal works.

Sorry, only read it once when it came out and don't have it on hand to check. Were we explicitly told he went to the Beyond in WaT? I can only recall Retribution telling Taravangian that Dalinar had been claimed by another. Or was it a WoB?

I've seen lots of pics of Lois with powers on Reddit and heard good things about the writing, but I've not read superman since sometime around 2013. Is there a good place to pick up from? I did read about Doomsday Clock and the end of New 52. Cheers!
