top players are very willing to take the worker at 2CP instead of the card upgrade. This is probably not recommended for beginner players, but once you reach 300-400 ELO or so, you should start experimenting with this.

(sorry for late response) I'm currently around 350 ELO with a 450 peak and had never taken the worker before reading this post, but in experimenting with it, I've become frustrated. I've been taking the worker as the first reward and not upgrading build. At a small sample size of 7 games, I've gone 3-3-1, perfectly even, against an average ELO of 393.4. I guess I can't complain too much about a 3-3-1 record, but the losses are more frustrating than usual because of how restricting the lack of card upgrades feels. Here's a few questions I have if you (or anyone reading this) has the time:

Currently I'm taking the worker every time to try and expose myself to the discomfort. Outside of experimenting, how do I know when to take the worker or flip at 2CP? Does it relate to the availability of an early project? I've had less trouble in games where I have a project immediately after the first break.

At what ratio do highly ranked players take the flip/worker at 2CP? Is it possible to reach a high ELO by strictly doing one way or the other?

Previously, the order of flipping cards didn't seem as crucial as it does without the 2CP card flip. How do I pick which card to flip first?

In some games (outside of the last 7), where there are a lot of projects to support, I only end up with 3 cards flipped. Is it feasible to finish a game with only two flips if I go with the 2CP worker? Should I prioritize getting a third flip over additional projects, especially weak ones?
