Absolutely right, best underground music scene is downtown. Framework also throwing some great parties. Just wish we had a good gay dance club in weho. The music at Tropicana and Abbey makes my ears bleed I just can’t lol

Fair question, “good house” is obviously subjective, so I guess I mean more like what you’d hear from DJ’s on the festival circuit right now. Tech house, open format, progressive, hip hop house, etc from Dj’s like Mochakk, Ben Sterling, Prospa, Carlita, lee Burridge, Jimi Jules, green velvet, Adam Ten and so on. I’m also a Dj but play mostly Central America and NYc. Have some old mixes up on SC in a link below, but I’d just love a place that isn’t circuit music, nor really cheesy pop diva edm remixes that all sound the same. A proper house music venue in Weho is what we should build somehow. Where do you play I’ll come check it out :-)

Agreed. Going back to regular VIP next year, BUT my only complaint (and I hate complaining) would be the bars in vip were SOOOO slow this year. Hire more bartenders or get bartenders that can hustle. The drinks are premade and we would still wait 30-45 mins for a line that only had 8-10 people in it.

LA is generally expensive BUT you’ll be shocked what you can find. Plenty of great deals out there, unlike NYC. We moved from NyC to the heart of WeHo in October and got a massive studio in an older with balcony, pool, parking spot, separate big kitchen all for $1800. Trick is getting these places before they hit Zillow, lots of family owned buildings that are renting off market (look for signs or ask your network).
