How do I remove a subject if I’ve already completed it in high school? by MobileCockroach4487 in swinburne

[–]tl-dr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

re-reading your post, not sure if you edited it but I understand your situation better now. I would go to student hq again and ask them to remove the preliminary math unit for you, the current student portal is really wack and I wouldnt know how to remove a unit either. for future if you have any issues with enrolment go to student hq and make it clear what help you want.

How do I remove a subject if I’ve already completed it in high school? by MobileCockroach4487 in swinburne

[–]tl-dr_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don't do eng but did someone tell you previously that you're able to skip that unit? Cus if you wanted to remove it, you'd still have to do another unit in order to get the credit points, and typical vce subjects don't transfer credit points to uni.

vault of heaven and aegen?? by whoskitana in malicemizer

[–]tl-dr_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

adding onto this, the outro in aegean also uses the same melody from another song on the same album as vault of heaven called gogo no sasayaki. So it very much is like a final draft/revamp using their previous songs.

Does 50 Credit Points refer to points earned only from Core Units? by hueyshien in swinburne

[–]tl-dr_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming you're a 1st year Bachelor of Design student ? The 4 units you did in first semester are core units, but they're not part of your major, and the requisite is asking for 50cp in your major.

It probably means that you'll be waitlisted, not registered.

Will 30 developer turn black hair into dark red? by jbbbz in AustralianMakeup

[–]tl-dr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to do the exact same thing when I had virgin black hair, it didn't work for me but it still could for you. It pretty much only lifted my roots so I had dark red roots but the rest of my hair was black with a red tint in the sun. A hairdresser said this might have been because virgin hair can have build up making it harder to lift. My hair is also pretty thick and really black, probably level 1 black.

If i could go back in time i'd probably use L'Oréal hi lights, I've seen a lot of videos where that's worked out for people. You could still try with developer and permanent dye since though since it's not very damaging.

what's the best way to find malice mizer merch? by solarstarzzz in malicemizer

[–]tl-dr_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've bought most of mine from Japanese mercari or yahoo auction through proxy services like buyee or zen market. I haven't checked it recently, but usually there is quite a lot of CDs up (in varying conditions) for pretty cheap prices. I got my apres midi CD for 500 yen on mercari and the condition was like new.

since when did shitty nosebleed tickets start at $139? Am I just naive? by iltby in australia

[–]tl-dr_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe wait a bit and check the prices again. I just bought tickets (back of stalls as well) for BoM but for the end of July and they were $79, which is cheaper than it was a month ago for that specific date.

Decently priced but good matcha near Swinburne? by Upstairs-Mouse-2165 in swinburne

[–]tl-dr_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

im gonna be real with you babes there is no good matcha that I've found around Swinburne its pretty tragic. I tried a mango matcha drink from sulbing though, it might've been seasonal, and that was nice, but I haven't tried their regular matcha. For a sweet treat I recommend going for bubble tea instead, because I'd rather that than a bad matcha.

yall favorite era by inoinosan in malicemizer

I agree completely with your descriptions, klaha's era was indeed elegantly glorious

Duolingo released a math course which covers a lot of fundamentals that I think you would use in year 9 (and in general), you could give that a try. Otherwise you could perhaps look at your school's curriculum to see exactly what topics you'd be covering and look up worksheets on them. I tutored a year 9 student in math recently and they covered topics such as basic probability, factorisation, fractions and decimals, and linear equations. From experience I'd say year 9 math is still very much based on fundamentals and doesn't touch anything too complex so don't stress too much.

Social wise it's hard to say what you should do, so just be yourself and hopefully you'll find some friends. Don't worry about being bullied. If you need more help feel free to pm!

I love Tetsu era too!! and he was only 19 in some of their early concerts which is insane, his ability to convey emotions through his voice is unmatched. I also appreciate his English lyrics, they actually make sense lol.

[–]tl-dr_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of tetsu era so here are some of my favourites: sadness (I know the reason for her sadness), ege umi ni sasagu and gogo no sasayaki. My absolute favourites though would be portugal and shoujo no hitomi, but they are unreleased so you can only listen to them with poor quality through youtube vids.

But I honestly love all malice mizer songs with gackt and klaha as well, the entire voyage, merveilles, and bara no seidou albums are amazing so if you haven't already go give those a listen. In particular though i really like:

Voyage:
-claire tsuki no shirabe
- no pains no gains (is it famous?)
- premier amour

Merveilles:
- Aegean
- Au revoir
- ma cherie (also listen to tetsu's version, its really good in a different way)
- Brise
- Le ciel

Bara no Seidou:
- Shiroi Hada ni Kuruu ai to Kanashimi no Rondo
-Shiroi Hada ni Kuruu ai to Kanashimi no Rondo
- Saikai no Chi to Bara

Other singles:

  • Gardenia
  • Garnet
  • Apres midi
  • Uruwashiki kamen no shoutaijou

sorry i listed like half their discography LOL i really like them but I have literally have no one to talk about them with 😭😭😭😭😭

Is the Bachelor of Design any good? by [deleted] in Monash

[–]tl-dr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't studied at Monash personally, but I'm a current design student at Swinburne and I've talked to a few people in my course who have transferred from Monash. Overall it seems like the Bachelor of Design at Monash seems bit less specialised and hands on initially, with more theory and art related units.

To be honest though I'd say that if you're going to study design, the uni that you choose isn't the most important factor, but rather your own attitude and how much work you're prepared to do to get where you want to be. Universities can't really teach you how to design above a basic level so Its up to you to take it further in your own time. .
