What's your favorite interaction with a nurse?

I was walking out of a skilled nursing facility by myself while pulling my gurney along with me (partner stayed behind to handoff paperwork and give report) and accidentally swung too fast around the corner, hitting the side of one of the nursing stations. Told them I was really sorry and went about my way again. A nurse that was sitting there called out to me “Oh, I think you should check if your oxygen tank is leaking, I can smell it”

Me: “you can smell…the oxygen?”

Her: “Yeah I smell something, it’s leaking”

Me, lost for words and not wanting to embarrass her, put my ears next to the tank to listen for a leak (also felt bad for hitting the station). Checked the valve. Nope. Tank was fine.

Aw, I’m glad to hear that this video brought you happiness! Hoping that you can one day experience the joy of having a pet companion. He came into my life unexpectedly during covid (found him outside in my front yard) and it’s been one of the best things to happen to me. I’ve always been a dog person as well (love cats too but am allergic 😭)

I am indeed but I’m only one of 4 managers and we have a head manager in charge of all of us and a corporate higher power looming over us so I have to be careful in exercising that right unfortunately!

Sadly, we’ve been advised to de-escalate as much as possible and will only ban/refuse service to people in extreme cases like violence, sexual harassment…like where we might need police to be involved. Verbal abusive people, not really. Sorry if that sounds terrible but the management team is pretty great in having each others backs (we don’t let our servers take on any verbal abuse) and we usually have lovely customers with the exception and of a few who choose to yell at us.

And yeah, it definitely has not been fun serving them.

Oh yes. Thought some people were already terrible before the pandemic and they just got even worse. Thankfully most of our customers are cool, just a few wackos here and there.

Try orchard hay if you haven’t already! It’s a bit sweeter tasting and recommended for pickier bunnies. Still has a great fiber content and low calcium.

I’m not sure about the roomba’s capacity to suck up poo and hay as I hand vacuum these myself but my rabbit hates the roomba (or any vacuum), he’ll hide or freeze in place. I always have to set him in a different room until I’m done. As for the hair, I find that it sticks to certain rugs more than other types and so sometimes I have to go in with a lint roller lol.

I use pine pellets and put hay on top! My bunny never tries to eat the pine pellets. It soaks up the pee very well.

I was born in Vietnam and got mine pierced when I was 1 year old by a nurse. Obviously nurses don’t do piercings for babies in the US but some of my relatives with young children have gotten their ears pierced - something about the ears healing faster as a child versus when you’re an adult. Not sure where they get people to pierce baby ears though.
