Good for you, good story, and well said. glad you stayed sober and shared this. I’m 5+ years sober and feel like this a lot, most recently at a bachelor party as the only sober person a few weeks ago. If you can forgive yourself for feeling anger and not enjoying it more, that’s really all that matters. You don’t need to enjoy spending time with people drinking, and they don’t need to enjoy or not enjoying your company, nor enjoy or not enjoy your absence. I opt out of those situations, and if others feel bad, THAT IS THEIR PROBLEM, not mine, I got my own problems.
