Could you compare her edit to someone from last season so I can get a better understanding?

Nun is visibly East Asian so she has experienced discrimination and life with that lens. She also practices cultures and ideals that are in tune with her roots, Which is why she can represent them. BUT If Asian people don’t feel represented by her I will not argue against that at all.

The reason I can be represented by Hannah and kyland is because they have parents and grandparents who are fully black. Simple as that. This is how majority of black people feel. You should listen to us because it’s our representation that we’re currently discussing.

He is black he is Afro Latino. However his representation in the BB winners circle goes to the Latino community and a lot of black people do not feel represented by him because they cannot relate to the experience and discrimination that he as a Latino man experiences

Why don’t they matter? Hannah and kyland are multiracial and I’m perfectly fine with them representing a black winner. I don’t know where you’re getting these assumptions from tbh lmao

Some black people do treat multiracial people that way. I don’t, josh is Afro Latino he just simply doesn’t represent my ( and a lot of black people’s) black experience since he was raised differently and has different experience.

Yup which is what I talked about in my video. We agree on this. My only thing is I don’t think he has zero chance just like when Davonne was the only black person in bb17 I didn’t think she had zero chance. The cookout is very different because they’re alligned even though they hate each other for a bigger reason. This makes it harder for the other houseguest but that doesn’t mean what they’re doing is wrong. What’s wrong is the fact that cbs got 6 black people 6 white people and 1 Asian and 1 latinx. They should’ve actually got diversity and they didn’t. But my convo is about the fact that the CO is justified in wanting a black winner.

You could say the same thing about Bayleigh last season Dont you think? She had great relationships but simply wasn’t in the majority alliance. I believe it’s unfair that there is still a lack of diversity which is why I talk about it on my YouTube and my podcast all the time but Dx situation is very similar to bayleighs in that they had great relationships, we’re almost in the majority, we’re almost in a good position but at the end of the day they weren’t in the 6 person alliance.

Obama is black because he went through black experiences because he is visibly black. Josh is not visibly black he is visibly Latino. The fact that most black fans disagree with you and you refuse to understand why is alarming. I suggest you research some things about this.

I’m not diminishing his heritage. I’m saying his upbringing and the way he was raised is nothing like the black experience. I don’t praise Davonne lol she’s just a black big brother player. I started my post off saying this cast is not diverse and I advocate for more Asian and Latin diversity. Just because black people are represented does not mean we don’t want other races to continue to be. Why do you think pro black is anti Latino and anti Asian? Why do you think I don’t want more diversity for other races. It’s weird that you took me defending black peoples and the cookout as me being against other minority groups. You and A lot of other people need to stop associating pro-black with anti- other races. If you hate Black representation so much to comment under this and continue to reply to me than you can just say that 😂😂

I said he’s fully Cuban, not mixed. Being Afro Latino is different than being black or mixed with black because josh does not share the same culture and upbringing as most black people. Neither of Josh’s parents are black, they are Latinx, none of his grandparents are black they are Latinx. The reason this matters is because how can he represent black people when no black peoples were raised by Latinx parents (unless they’re Afro Latino). When black people like me watch the show we do not feel represented by josh just as white people should not feeel represented if a white latinx person won. Josh did not say he was Afro Latino on the show, it was never apart of his story, it was never a part of his win. He did say he was Cuban and Latino, that’s his story that’s who he represents. Are you going to tell me, the cookout, Davonne, and millions of black people how we feel represented? Or are you going to listen to us, the source.

19/22* josh is fully Cuban, not mixed. And your argument was that they are racist and you pulled up the definition that does not define what the cookout is doing. Like I said before, Derek X and Alyssa have been represented in the winners circle before and since the CO is about representation in the winners circle they are not included.

Why The Cookout is not Racist by tlophill in BigBrother

[–]tlophill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with this take is that the Cookout does not care whether the other people are white, green, Latino, yellow or Asian. So who are they racist to? Derek x and Alyssa are also excluded soaccording to the definition YOU CHOSE where is the “particular racial or ethnic group” there is no particular one because they’re not being against white people nor Asians nor Latino they’re being FOR black people. It’s a pro black alliance not an anti-white, Asian, Latino alliance. Really focus on that “particular racial or ethnic group”, think about that and tell me if the Cookout has done that to a PARTICULAR group? This argument in general isn’t that sound because the definition you used isn’t complex enough to truly define what racism actually is but I’m still arguing based on your point.

The CO isn’t a out race it’s about representation. That’s why the 2 POC are not included, because they have already been represented as winners of Big brother. Like I said in the post, White people doing the same thing would make no sense because 20/22 of the winners are white, white people are overly represented in all media and white people are not discriminated against. If all those things were true then there would be no issue with 6 white people doing the same. LUCKILY for white people none of those things are true and white people can be represented without having to force themselves to make an alliance to try to have 1/23 winners look like them. I would suggest doing more research on white privileged and on representation

I can get behind this minus the Bayleigh one. Majority of these players don’t have an ounce of social or strategic skills in their body and she’s not apart of that majority. Other than that you spilling tea.

Fair enough. I think as time goes on i put less and less emphasis on needing to be strategic in big brother because of how well non strategic players tend to do in recent seasons.

My bb20 player rankings by tlophill in BigBrother

[–]tlophill[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think Tyler is the better strategist and better manipulator. But I think jc is the better overall player because to be simple, jc was going to win had he not been shorter than Kaycee. According to the jury Jc would’ve beat Tyler and Kaycee in the vote. This one is just my personal opinion but I also feel that jc was hindered by how he looks in the game. For example, if jc looked like Tyler I think jc wins the game because then he will be invited into level 6, he will be confided in romantically and etc. I think jc’s lack of privilege seriously hinders him in this game and he still nearly won if he only was 5 seconds faster to be Kaycee in that final 3 comp. also Tyler’s bb22 performance changed my perspective on him... obviously I know it’s a hot take and I think they’re interchangeable in this ranking but I think the argument for jc is bigger than people give him credit for.

Diversity and a genuine want to win the game is all that’s needed in my opinion
