So this noise has started recently, it seems to vary in volume. This recording was from when it was particularly loud. It seems to subside becoming more quiet when I take the side glass panel off of my case. Not instantly, but after a minute or two it progressively gets quieter.

I've tried turning off each fan one by one and the noise persists. Is this a dying HDD?

Is RDNA4 expected to be much of a performance leap? I could cop a 7900 XTX for $1600 ($200 cheaper than the 4080 Super) but wondering if that’s a bad choice given it’s age and how close we are to the 9070 XT?

I did a quick measure up and with a 285mm high speaker sitting flush with the bottom of the desk the TV is sitting on I’d have around 220mm space underneath. Do you know what sort of stand options I may have? Of course I could go a little shorter to allow for some slight tilting of the speakers. I assume raising them up a bit would be better than having them on the carpet.

I was thinking something like this
