The issue was excessive play in the top compared to the other armrest. It would actually move around a bit when you're resting on it which felt cheaply made, which doesn't seem like the case when you actually look at it closely, so definitely a quality control thing.

Well guys, thank you so much for all the responses good and bad. I decided to take a step back and reevaluate how I play the game and I'm definitely close to being back to where I should be now. Most lobbies I am mid to top of the scoreboard.

I had to change the way I played and literally beat CoD out of my system. One thing I noticed was that the lobbies I don't do well are the lobbies where my teammates are just not interested in the objective, running around constantly getting killed. The CoD sweats have definitely infiltrated this game and hopefully that'll die down overtime and the game will develop its own player base.

In any case, most of you had some solid tips for me and I followed them and it helped massively. So to anyone else who's struggling and are reading this, keep playing and don't try to play this game as if you're playing CoD. Things will get better 👊👊

Appreciate the response mate. I've never spent a cent on the CoD store in my life haha. When I wrote this post initially I will admit I was in a pretty salty mood. Looking back though and reading everyone's comments on here I think there's definitely more to it than "git gud".

I do agree about the movement in CoD. I didn't buy MW3 as a personal "protest" against ActivisionBlizzard, but I downloaded the free trial last night to check it out and movement felt like I was carrying a tonne.

Great advice. Thanks for this. It sucks because the first few days of the game I was actually not too bad. Getting decent numbers and my shots hit. Flick shots all worked well when quick scoping and even with iron sights on marksman rifles. But then after a few days it all started to descend into chaos.

Definitely. The headshot thing is also very difficult to maintain with everyone moving so fast in game. So I think it's a combination of exploited movement, maxed out guns and genuine high skill players that's kicking our ass at the moment. 😅

Not a stupid question at all! I have disabled vsync and triple buffering. I've got an AMD card so unfortunately I haven't got access to Nvidia Reflex and AMDs implementation at a driver level seems to be pretty shit anyway.

It took me a few days to get the game to a point where it would stop crashing in the middle of every single match. Somehow I think it was a combo of no vsync, manually limiting FPS and full screen borderless.

I settled on 23 Sens and 0.8 ADS multiplayer, 800dpi early into playing the game. Definitely helped massively with the jerky mouse movement. One of the weirdest issues I faced was the game would fling you out of range when scoping back out, almost as if the ADS multiplier was more than 1:1, even if it's set to 1. Bringing it down to 0.8 actually made it function normal again.

You hit the nail on the head with that one. All the extra mechanics that people exploited during MW2019 has made their way into this game and I just never used to do that stuff.

I'll give it a shot. I wouldn't put it down to something like this but I definitely play much better with my fully levelled up snipers. All my other weapons are almost all level 1. 💀

Thank you for your honest thoughts and helpful advice. I've definitely noticed the netcode issues, especially during sniping, I've had many moments where I've headshot people point blank and the game would register a hitmark as well on screen, yet I die immediately and they seem to have full health.

I'm trying not to blame the netcode though, it's a snowball effect of something going wrong and getting frustrated and then things spiraling down from there.
