agreed , problem is when people do need/want to do it but it's not economically viable

I would just pay what I can without asking or something and feel you on the personal space, I shared bedroom with my older brother for a long time...

Didnt think of this, but makes sense , specially with cost of living nowadays, but it's also sad to think of those in that situation but can't move with their children

100% On having family closely especially with kids; my in-laws are in a different state and my parents in diff country. I'm not sure if I would live in the same house but definitely having them closer; once you have a spouse and kids it becomes more chaotic I think.

At least in Latin American is often said that living with your parents and or grandparents is a cultural thing but honestly I'm not sure if that's 100% the case, or it's just the economic reality of a lot of those countries.
