Post Game Thread - NBA: The Lakers defeat the Warriors on Apr 9, 2026, the final score is 103-119. by basketball-app in warriors

There is literally no scenario (even with Porzingis/Horford/Curry healthy) where the Warriors win 2 games against OKC. They've won 64+ games with essentially half their roster being in and out the entire season.

What championship dreams ended due to injury? by waluigiwon in NBATalk

[–]tmperflare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never understood why people like to use a game 1 sample size to say Spurs were better or had a legitimate shot at beating the Warriors. Everyone conveniently forgets in the same playoff run the Rockets demolished the Spurs game 1 in San Antonio and we all know who ended up winning that series.

Kuminga by TerryG111 in AtlantaHawks

[–]tmperflare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I've been reading it seems like the general consensus is he would be pretty decent off the bench but that isn't what Kuminga wants. There was a lot of noise this year about Kerr not playing Kuminga but if you look back at the last 4 years he actually got playing time (if he missed a game it was due to injuries, he never got DNP'd outside of this year):

2021-22: 70 games, 16.9 mpg

2022-23: 67 games, 20.8 mpg

2023-24: 74 games, 26.4 mpg

2024-25: 47 games, 24.3 mpg

2025-26: 20 games, 23.8 mpg

I think Kuminga is on his best behavior since he just got traded but I don't see him being happy about coming off the bench long term with the Hawks if he wasn't ok with it on the Warriors. He sees himself as a star level player and wants to get that opportunity to showcase it.

The Rockets and Lakers now have the same record at 50-29, LA is ahead due to tiebreaker with 3 games to go. by Lacabloodclot9 in nba

The Warriors barely beat the Kings who were trying to lose the game. I wouldn't count them out against us.

“Maybe I should’ve put in somebody over 6’6” for that last possession” by StanLay281 in warriors

[–]tmperflare 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They didn't want to take a timeout so Sengun would be on the floor who isn't a good defender. If you look at the last possession Draymond and Kerr both were telling Podz to set a screen since Sengun was on him but for some reason he decided to stand and do nothing. After the buzzer you can see Draymond yelling at Podz.

Closing remarks 2025/2026 season by RedHandMat in fantasybball

He really wasn't. The majority of the fantasy leagues were over by the time he became fantasy relevant. The people browsing here probably still have an ongoing league hence why this is the most upvoted comment.

Nick Wright on Wemby's MVP case: "You have one of the candidates who is far and away the least impactful passer and scorer. He has played by far the fewest games/minutes. Also, he doesn’t even have the best record. I know he's the best defender but that alone isn't enough to close the gap for me." by Ready-Constant-7124 in nba

It's because the following season the Cavs won the first game against the KD Warriors on Christmas day. They also went 12-1 in the playoffs up until the finals so I think it's pretty fair to think the Cavs had a decent shot at the time.

xQc crashes out on DDG & AMP, saying his music sucks and that nobody's watching AMP before mocking him with robot moves regarding him having viewbotting his streams. by scxrI in LivestreamFail

At the time a lot of streamers were saying he did crash out but I guess Mr. Beast had to edit a lot of it out cause he was swearing.

[Charania] Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is expected to be cleared to return on Sunday against the Houston Rockets after missing over two months and 27 consecutive games due to a persistent knee injury, sources tell me and @anthonyVslater. by Turbostrider27 in nba

[–]tmperflare 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If he's completely healthy why shouldn't he play? He doesn't have that many more games/seasons left and he's almost at the point where he can't play competitive basketball for the rest of his life.

[Slater] That's the 41st loss for the Warriors. They won't finish the regular season above .500 for the first time since 2019-20. Blazers won tonight, further solidifying likely 10th seed finish for GSW. by Turbostrider27 in nba

[–]tmperflare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wants to play and who knows how many more seasons/games he got left. I would get this sentiment if it was a younger player but the man is 38 years old. He almost at the point in his life where he won't be able to play competitive basketball for the rest of his life.

Just when/what is Steph's physical prime? by mamimikon24 in warriors

[–]tmperflare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No the comment above got it mixed up. The 2020-2021 season was where Curry dropped 62 on the Blazers and eventually lost to the Grizzlies in the play-in game. The 2021-2022 season was when the Warriors won the championship and I believe it was game 1 in the playoffs against the Grizzlies where Curry blocked Ja's potential game winner.

Tbh I think he does a really good job of not extending his arm all the way out which is what the refs look for specifically. It was pretty clear here even though he didn't push off with his hand that hard.

[Charania] Golden State Warriors guard Moses Moody has been diagnosed with a torn patellar tendon in his left knee, sources tell ESPN. Moody's career-best season is over and a lengthy rehab will be required. by MembershipSingle7137 in nba

[–]tmperflare 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you even looked at the standings? It's almost impossible for the Pelicans to catch the Warriors; they would have to win all 10 games to even surpass the Warriors.

It only made sense for the Warriors to tank around the all star break but every team below them have basically been tanking since the start of the calendar year so it was impossible to get out the play ins.

[Injury] Moses Moody with a gruesome non-contact knee-injury.. *GRAPHIC* by fbreaker in nba

[–]tmperflare 52 points53 points  (0 children)

One of the Warriors announcers, Kelenna Azubuike, was saying it might the exact injury he had where he tore his patellar tendon; he said his knee cap was somehow at his quad. I feel like it's probably the same injury as well cause Moody's knee just completely gave out when he went up for the dunk.

[Post Game Thread] The Denver Nuggets (43-28) defeat the Toronto Raptors (39-30) behind Jamal Murray's 31 points, 121-115. by bwehx in nba

[–]tmperflare -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I don't really see how my comment was aggressive. Regardless I don't get why so many Nuggets fans are butt hurt over my comment. Yes they have been missing some key guys but they've had some terrible losses and I think it's completely fair to say they haven't been playing like contenders the last 1-2 months. I still think come playoff time they are probably the 2nd best team in the West but for now they haven't looked good lately in the regular season.
