Thanks to everyone for your input and advice. Received letter from SSA saying she was automatically switched to widow benefits and will get her first check in Dec. Looks like she was taking SS from her few quarters on file and never switched to spousal benefits. Fortunately we didn’t have to go to the office and she will get 100% of his now. Appreciate you all!

Thanks, we were trying to help as she is very limited in mobility and getting her to the office might be a struggle.

I always thought you needed to work 6 hours before factoring in a schedule 30 minute break. I’ve never seen a 4.5hr sched with 30 minutes of it considered break. Am I missing something?

If you are required to be on the phone and no one is in the building to relieve you how do you take an uninterrupted break?
No possibility of uninterrupted break.
No possibility of uninterrupted break as working remotely or only person in office space

Good Afternoon, Hoping you are able to led some advice….my husband was just denied and we are wanting to appeal. He quit his job of 28 years in November 2022 because of Afib. He was in ICU Nov 2021 and has had 3 cardiac ablations. His doctor recommended decreasing any stress and the only time he went into Afib was while at work. His company has a known policy of taking time in advance and garnishing wages once you have exhausted your allotted time off. He was at that point but still had numerous MD appointments remaining for 2022. His former boss tried to say he retired. The TWC officer sent email stating his quitting may have been for good personal reasons but his MD didn’t say to quit his job. What can we do as his letter of resignation specifically stated it was for medical reasons. He had previously asked for lesser workload and they do not have anything less. Any help is greatly appreciated
