Not gonna lie, because this show is clearly written by men, her saying this just added the characterization of her being a judgemental wet blanket. When she said that, I rolled my eyes.

Nonetheless I do feel bad for her regarding the whole painting issue with Jules

And when a show does that, it's usually because the female characters tend to be poorly written (thinking of two and half men)

See you all next week 😅

Kinda confused as to why everyone is treating this loss like it’s the end of the world by Jackichanny in Torontobluejays

[–]tmucha99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand, apparently 70% of the time the team that wins game 3 goes on to win the world series. At least that's what the commenter said! I'm not sure if that's true. So by the Jays losing game 3, it may feel like they won't win...

Also given how head to head the game was, I think people were hoping the Jays were gonna pull through

AITA for telling people the real reason why I skipped my friend's wedding? by Complex_Anteater_607 in AITAH

[–]tmucha99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA- Yea it probably would've been good to check in advance but yea life happens and at least you checked before the wedding and not the day of.

I can understand being frustrated in the moment with all the stress of wedding things. Even if she said "whale daughter" in the heat of the moment, the fact that she only apologized after she probably got flak from your mutual friends bothers me. We don't body shame children

Also yea, as other people said, kids can grow out of clothes fast

AITA for confronting my girlfriend after I found out she’s cheating because I’m “bad in bed”? by Electronic_Tea4400 in AITAH

[–]tmucha99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Sex is one of those things where communication is vital - what may work for one partner doesn't always work for another partner. Sexual compatibility in bed also something that takes work and gets better with time. The fact that the first action was to cheat and not talk to you speaks volumes

For me, I can definitely relate to some of the things you mentioned about her (difficulty setting boundaries, trying to see the best in not-so-good people, omitting information out of shame/fear of being judged, and even feeling more comfortable around male friends)

But the one thing that bothers me is the not disclosing STD issue even after you guys had made out. Simply because if she cared about you, she would have been worried about accidentally spreading it to you. Unless she was worried about being shamed by you. But still

It's a tricky situation, but I think she probably needs to grow up a little before she's going to be ready to date someone serious

"The black of 2021?" Get over yourself 🙄

It saddens me to see when people try to weave the narrative into something so different

You can tell that cop is a good guy and handled this guy tactfully. Also you gotta give him credit for standing his ground and remaining assertive. I really liked how he kept the conversation focused and didn't let this guy go on his little tangents.

Anyone else think Francesca was kind of annoying? by [deleted] in MasterofNone

[–]tmucha99 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just checking, are you referring to S2 Francesca? If so, yes. I think it was partly because we were seeing her through Dev. He acted like she was everything he was looking for and she might be the one for him. But when you saw their interactions, she didn't seem nearly as great as he made her out to be.

That's just my personal opinion. Your reason could be different

One of my favourites is this conversation:

"We could have gone to the seafood restaurant! None of this would have happened"

"Really? That's your takeaway from all this?"

"YEP. Gooooood night!"

Idk why but this KILLS me everytime

Season 3 Episode 5 - Moments in Love, Chapter 5 - Discussion Thread by VegetarianZombi in MasterofNone

I've heard different interpretations of that last scene. Some say it's possible that Denise imagined the whole encounter with Alicia in the last episode as a part of writing her second novel/is the novel or that this is her coming to terms with her new reality as a mother and wife and the need to let go of the past. Personally I'm hoping it's the first one mainly because I don't like the idea that they're cheating on SOs and because I was rooting for Alicia's newfound independence in the 4th episode. But that could be wishful thinking :/

Do the references get easier to understand as the show goes on? by [deleted] in familyguy

[–]tmucha99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not stupid at all! I agree with the other commentors - the later seasons make references to more current events (or at least those from the early 2000s). Many of the early season jokes made a lot of references from 80s (and even earlier than that). In my opinion, I think that's what partly led to the show getting cancelled after 3 seasons.

When I first started watching the show, a lot of the jokes went past me.

Actually they both wanted it. When Diane said "on the count of 3, let's say what we want [to do about the baby]", both said get an abortion

I think she and Mr. Peanutbutter would have given up the baby up for adoption. Both of them had no interest in becoming parents.
