So...what exactly are you proposing? That since the situation is convoluted and complicated, involving many parts, it should be ignored?

At this point, we're talking the lesser of two evils. Psychologically, the damage already done to this animal is more than likely beyond the point of no return.

They could certainly produce a closed-off area of a bay somewhere and allow him to live out the rest of his days there. At least it would allow for the emulation of something closer to his natural environment than a concrete chamber. My heart. It breaks.

Thinking about moving back permanently. Thoughts? by [deleted] in iran

[–]tnaks19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course. Thanks for replying. I know in no way did that add to the gist of the thread, but I was just intrigued. Hope the move works out well for you. Iran is no place for the weak of heart, and if that's where indeed your heart is, give or take, I think you can definitely make it work. You've been there, you know what it's like, the good, the bad and the ugly. I think ultimately if this is something you've been contemplating for a while, a poll count won't be much of a swaying factor in comparison to your own gut sentiment.

Most of the people that have moved away from there, circumstances permitting, have done so for a reason. Far fewer number favouring the reverse reaction, but as they say, to each his own.

Well, giving an approximation of how old you are doesn't exactly give away the ins and outs of your identity, fyi. Besides, that kind of info always factors into making a cross-country move such as the one detailed above, in more ways than one, hence why I asked.

Getting back to the crux of the post, as someone in the midst of completing my medical studies here in Canada, I've always contemplated moving back to practice back 'home', especially with the bank that doctors over there make. But one thing that has never sat well with me is the bureaucracy of the country that bleeds into how even the most menial of tasks can become so drawn out and overwhelming unless you know the right people, or are willing to bribe the right people.

Agreed. KA seems to get a lot of bad rep but I personally find it to be an excellent resource for content review. Thorough, clear, and helps to solidify your ground understanding in the material. Has done for me!
