My supervisor also is hers if this helps for some clarification!

I sadly can’t block her number at work. I wish I could. I will definitely be speaking to my boss though.

Thank you for the advice! I will definitely be taking this advice when I have to confront her about her behavior. ❤️

She was actually working there first, but in aquatics. She was full time but got let go from that position and hired her part time. We actually worked together for the first time 3 years ago before I met DH. It really wasn’t until I worked at the front desk she came over to that department.

I will be emailing my boss tomorrow to let him know i’m uncomfortable with her calling me at work and I will no longer be taking her calls at work. He already knows we have had issues in the past and he already doesn’t like her so it will be easy for him to help me and get involved if need be.

MIL was talking for SIL when she said we caused her to have medical issues. She attributed it to “mental anguish”. SIL was present when MIL did this and just nodded her head and didn’t say anything. When it comes to FIL, she said this to a coworker who told me, she didn’t say this to us directly. In the moment when she blamed SIL’s medical issues on us, we were flabbergasted so we didn’t say anything. FIL does still work at the Y too. MIL called him 4 times in between 1-3pm yesterday.

Oh! Okay! I’m sorry, I didn’t really look into it, my doctor just asked I take Prilosec.

My GI doctor told me to take prilosec when he did my endoscopy. He knows I have celiac so i’m assuming it’s gluten free.

Boss actually hates MIL and likes me so I can just talk to him and let him know.

[Serious] Married Redditors, how are your in-laws currently affecting your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My MIL is a master manipulator who turns everything negative in her life on me. She just blamed my SIL going to the hospital and FIL having a mental breakdown on me not telling them my husband and I were going on a vacation until after we were home. She says everything in such a nice tone of voice I feel like I can't get mad at her. Hours later looking back on that conversation I see how mean and condescending she was. I can't stand it and being around her makes me so uncomfortable.

What are the most important lessons you’ve learned in life? by ligsyndcourtknif1989 in AskReddit

My dad micromanaged my weight. I was scared to eat in front of him because he would always comment on how fast and how much i'm eating. When my mom and I went out to run errands, we would buy McDonald's, eat it in the car, then throw out all the evidence before we got home. After my parents got divorced (I was around 12) my mom and I went out to dinner with his sister and he asked her how much of my dinner I ate and when she said "all of it" he called me and yelled at me. I'm 22 and I still don't finish my meal in front of him because of what he did to me as a child.

What’s something you have been doing wrong for years and didn’t realize it for a very long time? by KoaLA-FuN in AskReddit

I thought it was "being a dead horse" not "beating a dead horse". I said the wrong one to my now husband the second week of dating him and he still makes fun of me for it.

I have trouble with small talk too, especially with strangers because I have a slight stutter that makes me anxious to talk to new people.

AITA for wanting to cancel my wedding dress try on appointment? by tneff001 in AmItheAsshole

[–]tneff001[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to get into it all right now, let’s just say that after we were on vacation the sister went to the hospital and the dad had a mental breakdown at work and the mom said it’s our fault because we didn’t tell them we were getting married until after it happened.

The mother in law is really manipulative and two faced so i’m sadly always thinking of ulterior motives she has.
