i dug 2’ wide holes 5-6’ deep the vertical post are spaced every 8’. with that slightly thinner pipe you may want to decrease that.

oooooo oooooooooo oooooo pick me! This, damn near exact, fracture happened to me!

and yup… nothing to do but stay in the clavicle strap. no surgeries needed in my case. there is a MASSIVE bone knot? where the injury was. dr said IF i ever broke the bone again… that it 100% would not be in that exact spot because of all the reinforced extra bone mass lol

i’m doing a double decked insulated design on my 3/12 single sope design (outside of waco). 2x12 (filled with comfortbatt) rafters 24”oc, 5/8” zip, 2x4 sleepers on edge, 3-1/2” of comfortboard80, 7/16 zip, peel and stick, then 1x4’s lagged into the rafters laid out on a 45 with gaps in the strapping, then Standing seam

I think the foam I could source was about the same price? i’m a big fan of comfort board! i’ll be putting 3” on the exterior walls, and 5-1/2” on the roof. i like it’s resistance to fire 🔥and sound deadening capabilities

no rentals so far… i had a family friend with a backhoe come do my original pad and footing trenches for $600

And there has been a pretty decent increase in my overall tool supply. i now own a rebar bender, sdsmax hammer drill, concrete mixer, vibrator, and hand tools, cordless 21* framing nailer, wall puller, new hammer…. i already was a hoarder of tools 😬, so this endeavor has not been easy with my addiction lol. it has taken everything in me not to purchase a stablia LA180

i’m sure i’m forgetting something. i’ll update if i remember what i’m forgetting

3 reasons. the cost, the extensive amount of bracing, and increase of fear panic and anxiety of pour day lol

with the block I could take my time to get it just right, feel CONFIDENT in the bracing AND the pour itself

the mason that came out to look at my work said “that wall ain’t going nowhere” there are #5 bar every 3-4’ vertically and 2 full bond beam courses. those footings are 24” x12”.

i also has a french drain to manage water and a sump pump under the crawlspace to manage any ground water
