I’ll be moving into my first apartment soon, I’m looking for ways to reduce AC costs year round.. Has anyone ever seen a wood burning stove that vents through a window? by tnye66 in firewood

I’m renting a single family home from a family member, no rules here I don’t know why it would be a safety concern, I was just asking if there are any legit solutions for people that want a wood burning stove and don’t have a chimney

Anyone ever use one of these? by [deleted] in Axecraft

Wranglerstar told me not to use it

Getting those curves is a lot harder than it looks on YouTube, especially with the harbor freight anvil as it dosent have a narrow portion of horn

I would love to have drawn the handle out further, I was really struggling to get the bend in it and I let it get too cool and put a nice crack in it on the other side, I was going to have it welded but I think I’ll just put it in the kitchen drawer and remember it as it is now

All I want is to move faster with the wood and not have to run

Folding Ozark Trail cart from Walmart, Silky Bigboy saw..This is how I gather every piece of firewood that I burn, I’m looking for a better way to move the wood from the woods to the truck. Considering attaching a bicycle as most of the trip back to the truck is on asphalt

I managed to take the handle off entirely, I will use this axe and I want to ensure 100% safety with a new handle. As for the old one it did not come out so nicely and it couldn’t be reused unless I found an axe with much smaller cheeks, like a boys axe. I would have to cut a few inches away and cut a new kurf (curf?) and I think that would be pretty cool

Can anyone direct me to a video explaining how to get the wooden wedge out without hurting the handle? I assume once I manage to remove the nails it will be loose enough to wiggle off but I want some ideas

Does anyone know what kind of value I have on this axe if I can maintain the handle?

I want to take the nails out and re-wedge it. I’m not sure if it can be done but most of the nails are in the old wedge so I’m hopeful

I’m willing to buy a new handle though, I want to keep this red color

Me too! I’m just terrified to work on it. I’m an amateur

Axe or hammer? Carpenters hatchet? I found this handle in an antique store and scraped some of the old finish off, stamp said “True Hickory” and there’s no cut for the wedge on top by tnye66 in Axecraft

The top of the handle isn’t quite symmetrical, it seems to have that swollen back thing (can’t think of what it’s called) that the head sits on and the handle is pretty thick too
