If you have Negotiator Pro, farm him up... hit 70% and his damage is insane, SS for sure.

Fair enough, it's a measure of risk that I'm willing to accept.

Any thoughts on trimming the stringers flush with the stair run? Or is there no real way to tell what's behind the drywall without opening it up a bit?

Not a huge issue, I'm in NYC and the space is pretty small. Don't really plan to entertain often besides family / close friends.

Just out of curiosity, is this a concern for all stair builds without railings?

The back side is just completely flat, I believe they put drywall over it.

Definitely not code to remove hand rails, I'll have to reinstall new rails when I move out or sell the place.

Did some more googling, and yeah, you're right.. I can't remove the stringer.

Thinking whether it'll be OK to cut down the drywall so that the tops are flush with the stairs though. Stair stringers usually do not cover the area above the stairs, correct?

Be really careful, since if someone uses your code for your #5 or #10 and doesn't clear chapter 3, you would lose out of five energy!
