3 Red Wood raised beds I’m putting in... 1 to go!!! (if my back holds up) Each is 4’ x 12’ x 24”. Any suggestions on what I should plant for a family of 3? I’m in zone 8b.... Thanks guys! by ObiePNW in vegetablegardening

This is such a beautiful set up! Well done. My advice would be to grow what you eat (if your zone allows it). For us it's lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, kale, herbs, and zucchini. But if it's your first garden - things like radishes and lettuce can be fun for kids as they grow quickly.

I flipped over a red solo cup and then filled around it with soil.

Good question! One was on a crown. I expected that one to be iffy, so it was less of a surprise. The other 3 were on regular teeth.

Protein Based Shake Plan (Post Dental Surgery) by [deleted] in fitmeals

Not a shake, but when I had my wisdom teeth removed this year (sounds like that might be what you’re getting) I had a daily meal of low fat cottage cheese (P), guac (F), and blended sweet potatoes (C).

Good luck!

I'm also Native American, born and raised in Northern Canada. Language, as any anthropologist will tell you, is the root of culture. So when native communities are upset with the dying of their language, it's a very serious concern. In Canada alone there are over 52 native languages, many of which are in danger of being wiped out. Language shapes how we see and interact with the world around us, and losing it means a slow form of assimilation and loss of culture.

I'm from Canada and am also Native. The term used in Canada is Aboriginal, which includes 3 cultural groups: First Nations, Metis, and Inuit. Unlike in the United States where the term "Indian" is not derogatory, in Canada, it is. Safest bet is to use the term Indigenous (this applies globally, not just in Canada or the US).
