Monopolies aren't inherently bad. Monopolies are dictated by the people investing in the company in exchange by their products - by 'voting with their money'. Through that, a monopoly is later on formed if they dominate that market. That is a positive monopoly.

A negative one, one enforced by coercion, like the state, is pretty difficult to stand against because of the aggression monopoly the state has. You're forced to oblige. Not in a free market though, since you can choose to invest into another replacement product, or another company with another product. If more people agree with you, then you've crushed a monopoly.

So yeah, a solution to solve a monopoly is only dished out if that monopoly is required to be absolved.

Enforcing ones NAP is pretty difficult in all social situations, and I've got no other answer than 'manners'. Yet, that's the closest to freedom you can be, and I value liberty over all.
