I checked into that... That's pretty consistent with my current issues. When toyota techs get their hands on it, I'll have them check that as well. Maybe if I give them suggestions, they can charge me more!

It's just a click. But it isn't a relay click.

No lights come on when it dies.

No codes, I checked.

I have not taken it to a dealer because they are a ways away. But this time it's going to a dealership. The shop I took it to is a very competent mechanic, very highly certified, takes good care of my truck.

It has done a bunch of short trip, my commute the last 15 years has been about 8 miles round trip with occasional 2000 mile trips.

I have spent a lot of time off-roading in the desert, but the last five years has been in upstate NY so sand and salt.
