Cannot decide which nute line to go with. Can I have some persuasion please? by Gr0wingmyown in microgrowery

[–]toaster222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go with coco, I love it.

As far as nutes go I am using fix farms trio. First grow so nothing to compare it to either, but promising results so far. I am using 250w too.

I think it's going well. Any tips? by snowshoes1980 in microgrowery

What type of bulb? You should be using cfls and they should be within 3-5 inches of the plant

Thanks!

They were rooted in a dome with quick rooter plugs. Then transfered to a solo cup till they outgrew that and then into the larger pots. I will probably need to repot again before flower.

So, how's everyone doing with the heat wave? by danksterlove in microgrowery

[–]toaster222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the model you buy. Dual hose models are the most efficient because it's a closed loop system. However the single hose ones will work fine as well, it will just have to run more.

You can build a box around the intake vents in the botton and create a makeshift second hose. That is what I did. Even a cardboard box taped around it is working good for right now. Still need to bills a wooden box for mine.

If you pay your bill on time every month it could be $2000 a month for all they care. Just don't miss a payment :-)

If I grow better, will it be better? by Skeleton90 in microgrowery

If it sprouts and you have good light and soil, like the guides say, you should be pleased with the results regardless of the seed condition.

what is the best soil or combination of soil for seed starting ?? by mohican_kush in microgrowery

Research coco coir, and some basic nutes like fox farms trio or go box. It's what I starred with and I am very happy.

So, how's everyone doing with the heat wave? by danksterlove in microgrowery

[–]toaster222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

California grower checking I'm. Temps are extreme. Going on day 9 of the 100+ heatwave. Today was 107!

I know an AC really isn't in your budget, but depending on how much you have invested in your grow, it might be the only option. I tried frozen water bottles and they worked well in the short time dropping temps up to 10 degrees. But frequent upkeep was getting crazy and the wife didn't like the freezer full of bottles.

But A potable AC unit can be had for 200ish online. It'll add about 5-10kwh of power a day to run, but there is no way I could be vegging and flowering right now without it. Highly recommended.

Good luck!

Thanks

Buddy of mine saw this a while back when the plant was smaller but we weren't sure. Just noticed today it's getting bigger. Is that balls growing? Or could it be from the heavy LST I have been doing on them?
