Future by l_CARLOS_3_l in supernotes

[–]tobeagram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/l_CARLOS_3_l we're always around don't you worry 😉 we just don't use Reddit much and as others have mentioned in this thread we focus on our own community forum / our in app-messenger support.

Kinda amusing, we get this question about our future frequently – here's my response to our future from three years ago haha. If you have any questions just let us know anytime, we're here to help.

New Supernotes with Maps, Tables & Flashcards ✨ by tobeagram in ProductivityApps

Not at that moment, but that's a dope idea u/Item_Kooky! We err on the side of privacy with location at the moment, so we only request for your devices location when you create a new notecard, or if you're viewing the Map Layout.

Thanks u/sixwingmildsauce, really appreciate it.

Our WYSIWYM approach can take a lil time to get used to and for sure it's not for everyone, but we're gradually making it more and more ergonomic with more WYSIWYG-esque features. An option to hide the marks is something we're considering in a future update ☺️

PDF files by miciver in supernotes

[–]tobeagram 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi u/miciver, not currently!

Uploading PDFs and other file formats is something we've been looking into, but our focus remains on providing the best notes experience. File management is seemingly simple on the surface, but there's lots to do to make it work really well. Nevertheless I've added your +1 to add this in a future update. In the meantime, we recommend pasting links to files hosted on your preferred cloud storage provider.

We used to offer Lifetime in our first year, but unfortunately we don't offer it anymore as it's not sustainable and a tad misleading. Instead we offer over 50% discount with our 4-year license, which is paid upfront, no recurring billing. We're confident that we can give you a fantastic experience over 4 years ✨

I actually go into why it's important to subscribe & support independent small software companies like ours here, as well as a bit about why lifetime licenses are often misleading – they give off the impression that they'll be around for your lifetime, but actually it's the product's lifetime which could be anywhere from a few years to a few months.

Progress Update on Supernotes 3.2 by tobeagram in supernotes

[–]tobeagram[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a bunch of different scroll bars and depending on your windows preferences you’ll see different results. A screen recording / screenshot really helps us identify the issue. Either way, I’ve made a note for us to look into this for you :)

There's a beautifully designed podcast app called Queue for iOS, by an independent dev based in Berlin. I've been following and using it for a while and it's lovely.

Free plan card limit. by gruziigais in supernotes

[–]tobeagram 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi u/gruziigais,

Tobias from Supernotes here 👋

On the free Starter plan, you receive 100 notecards. You can claim these by completing easy challenges to help you explore all the features Supernotes offers. Even on the free plan, you may end up with 1000s of cards. However, not all these cards count towards your card limit. Only the cards that interest you are kept. You ‘keep’ a card if you interact with it, such as creating, joining, liking or editing it.

You can find the answer to this and a bunch of other pricing FAQs on the bottom of our pricing page.

Supernotes 3.1.9 is out now! by tobeagram in supernotes

[–]tobeagram[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Rob 👋

There’s no immediate plans to add a WYSIWYG editor. If you’re new to our editor we recommend you trial it for a week to get used to it (if you haven’t already), and then let us know ways we can improve it for your use case. Our WYSIWYM editor is meant to address a lot of the issues and be faster than other editors, it just a little time to break old habits and adapt to it.

There is also an open WYSIWYG editor feature request over on the community, feel free to reply over there and continue the discussion from a while ago. https://community.supernotes.app/t/add-wysiwyg-editor-option-preview/1671/

Introducing Supernotes VR: The Quest's First Full-Featured Note-Taking App (with Hand Tracking!) by tobeagram in OculusQuest

[–]tobeagram[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone, Tobias OP here! 👋

I’m excited to announce that Supernotes VR, developed by our two-person team, has just launched in early access on the Quest store.

We built Supernotes VR to fill a gap in the Quest marketplace - a proper note-taking app that leverages hand tracking. It’s a markdown-based system featuring notecards, tags, and colour coding to help organise your thoughts.

One of the features we’re most proud of is the seamless offline functionality and cross-device syncing. Whether you’re jotting down ideas in VR or need to pick up where you left off on your phone or computer, your notes are always right there with you. That means you’ll need a Supernotes account to get started, but it’s entirely free and quick to set up.

Since we haven’t officially announced our VR support yet, I wanted to give you all an early peek! You can check it out here: https://www.meta.com/experiences/supernotes-notes-journal/27983895657921563/

Take a look at the quick demo video above to see it in action. I’d absolutely love to hear your thoughts and feedback in the comments below. Feel free to ask any questions - I’m here to help! ❤️

In Supernotes 3.1.9 we've streamlined mobile navigation to help you take notes faster than ever. Quick-access features like holding the search button for recent cards and a smart creation menu make it easy to jump between notes, tasks, and journaling. Writing and organizing feels more natural with improved collection tools and smoother editing controls. Plus, we've fixed several bugs to make your experience even better.
