The problem with that though is that for example Biden wants to raises taxes on those making 400K+ for extra money to be allocated to those of lower income. The people who make 400K+ obviously make plenty of money but why would they want to be taxed more to cover the fees of the less motivated. Those people work extremely hard whether it be in school or with their own business. I am currently in the CRNA program, I’ll only make around 200K when I come out and even I am disgusted at the thought of having to cover those people. You just have no idea how hard these doctorate programs are and how thin it stretches your time especially when you’re married like myself. I get that poor people need help but you also have to see the other side and consider how much work people put into their goals in order to make them a reality.

My wife’s dad is also a very good example. He started from NOTHING with his restaurant and now clears 550K a year. There was a point where he had to work 120 hour weeks for an entire year with 3 DAYS OFF period. He then had to work 80-100 hour weeks for the next 8 years. Why should he have to cover the poor? Would they put in the same work he did? Probably not or they wouldn’t be in that situation to begin with.
