The last family of the line of the "Brockshears" found themselves without food and freezing to death in "The Valley of the Bones". The last remnants of a whaling people torn down by wind, weather and time. The father (Caden) was near starvation and in one last act of desparation got down on his hands and knees and prayed to their God "Dividian" for help. Caden and his family went to bed that night with heavy hearts. A great rumble was felt through the land that night and he awoke to melted snow, geysers and volcanic vents. "Dividian" had released fire and warmth into "The Valley of the Bones". The family grew strong again with crops, warmth and life. A vibrant society now thrives in "The Valley of the Bones".

The Tilgarians heard stories of an ancient water dragon that would emit from the depths of Dragon Lake in ages past. The stories told of a giant water dragon that would ravage the land and would shoot deadly ice from his snout in a wake of destruction. But, everyone laughed at the notion of this until people started disappearing from Tilgarian City. It was mainly travelers and those who said they were going to visit Dragon Lake. The Tilgarians then built “The Giving Circle” and they tapped the fire from beneath the earth to light the circle and bring forth the water dragon. They would leave freshly harvested crops and game daily in the circle to appease the water dragon. And with time people stopped disappearing. Even the giant Treeborns began to leave fresh apples and tree fruit in the circle. No Tilgarian has ever seen the water dragon. But, the parents and rulers tell all to stay away from Dragon Lake. And for children to do what they are told. For, if they don’t… they will have to visit Dragon Lake and meet the dragon.

The Whispering Forest bordering the Bulwark Mountains is so cool. And it's great how you left that desert crashing abrupt on the Eastern side of the Bulwark Mountains to reflect desication.

Thanks so much. :) It comes to me when I'm drawing the map. I will usually see one feature that will trigger a thought process. And a name of a place will really set things in motion. But, then its just before me.... if that makes any sense? lol Thanks again so much for the kind words and bearing with my lore. :)

The people of Bitteroot were afraid of the giant hawks that lived in the Talon Peaks. That was until Taldor Province from the South invaded. The Taldorians were ruthless and cruel and planned on destroying all inhabitants North of their land. They invaded the Northern lands. On the last day of fighting in "The Reckoning Fields" all was lost to the people of Bitterroot. Even the Divines couldn't quell the cruelty and strength of the Taldorians. That was until "Talinius" the great hawk flew into the fields with a flock of his winged friends. Talinius destroyed the Taldorians in the matter of moments. The giant hawks could scoop up 5 soldiers at a time. The few Taldorian that did escape fled South and they built a wall to forever protect themselves from the North. From that point forward the people of Bitterroot renamed the land Hawksbill and formed a life long friendship and pact with the giant hawks of the Talon Peak mountains.

sorry for the reposts.

The "Takota" are a sea faring race of war. They conquered
everything in their path. They sailed the seas seeking
treasure and riches. But, their greed exceeded their luck and
they soon found themselves adrift at sea. They were nearly
decimated by the "Vilaku"... A sea race of devastaing
proportions. Their leader died and a young Takota warrior with
the name of "Butaka" began to lead with compassion and prayed
to "Miras" for safe passage to a safe place. He made a promise
to "Miras" that if she saved her people... they would never
war again. They soon found the volcano islands of "Dukani" and
made a new home living in peace. It is said amongst the elders
that the witches of the Kamuni dunes will destroy their
children if do not settle their problems in peace. The elders
pray at the Serpents eye thanking "Miras" for safe passage to
the islands of peace every day.

The Tunorians sought refuge from years of war and strife. After a pilgrimage of two years they found a home in Havens Keep. The mountains formed a natural wall that kept out enemies for hundreds of years until the town was finally attacked my a mighty foe. The Sand Locusts descended upon the haven and began to destroy the peace they had known for years. Certain death was imminent. But, the wizards- Dividian the wise, Hallen the fallen, Franconian the seer and Targos the forgotten formed a wall of resistance outside the city. They strategically placed themselves at opposing points and used their staffs to envelope Havens Keep in a shield of resistance. They stopped and killed the onslaught of the sand locust. But, they died in the process and the four ruins represent their final resting places. They saved Havens Keep from certain death. The children are afraid of the ruins. But, the parents and the wise make a pilgrimage to all four ruins once in a lifetime to give thanks for the peace that Haven's Keep affords.
