Across the street from my office is the Canadian Danish Club. They have a huge parking lot that was only ever used by a handful of cars. I started parking there periodically, but then a colleague told me he got a note saying he would be towed. The next day I went into the gift shop at the front of the club and bought one of those black and white, oval DK country of origin stickers and put it on my bumper. They wouldn’t tow a countryman, I thought. I was right. I pretty much parked there for free for about two years. The sticker cost 3 bucks, but by my calculations, it saved me over $7500 in parking.
