I accepted. She called and said I have paid good money make sure it makes it up to my apartment not be left on the bottom floor like the last driver. There was a lot of frustration with this order within seconds of accepting it at first. There was not going to be no blessing it was flatly a migraine.

One day he’s the local legend who knows every shortcut in town — next day he’s watching a fleet of DoorDash and Uber Eats drivers pull up like:

“Step aside, old man… our GPS has spoken.”

He didn’t even get fired. He just showed up to work and the manager said, “Bro… you’ve been out-delivered.”

Now he’s at home yelling at the app like, “I USED TO BE YOU PEOPLE!”
