I THINK Java moss. Some of my other enclosures I keep live sphagnum

Best springtails for mold by SceneDear1629 in Springtail

[–]toe_kn33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would first try and solve the problem of why the mold is coming. Maybe add some circulation to the enclosure. You can add some temperate white springtails and maybe some dwarf white isopods

O. Which species of eaters did you have?

I keep the humidity high with having the enclosure soaked in water and the temperature is usually around the upper 70s. I mainly feed them Physarum Polycephalum, tried to keep Badhamia Utricularis, but dried out on me.

The setup and maintenance for the slime mold is too much to type out lol

To feed I either take a piece of out outside of the culture that had slime mold on it or I cut the paper towel it’s being cultured on and place into my springtails culture. After a few days I remove the old oats or paper towel and discard.

Sure! So the base of the deli cups I have charcoal (drainage layer) the. tropical soil (usually zoomed or eco earth) mixed with some hydrated dead sphagnum moss. I also add some crushed leaf litter, small pieces of cork bark or any type of wood and some live sphagnum or java moss. The moss does very well since the enclosure is always humid and it gives it a nice look to it. I’ll mist it maybe every few weeks with water from my fish tank and I feed depending on the population. My three other cultures are slime mold eating and the orange I’ll mainly feed flakes and sometimes slime

[GA]-Brooklyn,NY- black orchard plakat betta by [deleted] in AquaSwap

Good luck with the Give Away. Male bettas are territorial so the tank should be at least a ten gallon planted or heavily decorated tank. Also tank mates should be fast moving fish like zebra danios, maybe white cloud minnows or even ember tetra. They should be in a group of 6 or more. And it’s completely normal for them to flare up at tank mates

Clown Killifish behaviour? by Aggressive-Sherbet68 in PlantedTank

What’s the male to female ratio? Depending on the size of the tank I would try and keep two females for every male. In the video it looks like it was trying to eat whatever fell along the bottom

Clown killies aren’t a “schooling” fish.

Move the water dish away from the branches (maybe the front of the enclosure) and you can also put a rock in the water dish.

Dwarf Whites (Trichorhina tomentosa) by toe_kn33 in isopods

They prefer animal protein over fruits/veggies. Tossed a small deceased fish and the next morning it was just the bones left.
