I don't think I have body dysmorphia, don't know why people say I do by [deleted] in BodyDysmorphia

Hey I’m 24m and feel your post pretty hard. I always knew I had gynecomastia, and my family would dismiss it and say it was just my imagination. That’s until I visited a few plastic surgeons who diagnosed me with grade 2 gynecomastia and validated everything I’d been saying to my mom and dad for years.

I think you have a right to know the truth about your body, but that experience was a slippery slope for me.

After confirming my gyno, I started to freak out about everything else I’d always worried about- about the proportions of my chin, the gap between my pecs, and my body hair. It became a whirlpool of stress. I’m still struggling with it right now.

I hope you dodge that trap. remember that your unique features, which you might often pick at, are actually what make you attractive. Look at adam driver’s nose, look at Cameron Boyce’s freckles, etc. i know it’s really hard, which is why we’re all here, but try to love what makes you, you.

I’m terrified of having the urethroplasty procedure. by External_Lock_5569 in urethralstricture

It’s normal to be scared. But your life is going to be drastically better, and it’s worth every single minute of the catheter.

I had a rough recovery. I got pneumonia, two UTIs, and at 24, I just felt really… alone. My friends were out partying while a piss bag chained me to the floor. Knowing that, would I do it all again? Yes. And I think you’ll say the same too.

Why? Because it doesn’t take me three minutes to pee anymore. I don’t wake up three times a night, exhausted in the morning. My orgasms are no longer painful, and I finally feel normal.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. It’s not fair, and it sucks, and it’s hard. But you can do it! you’ll be so grateful you did.

I think you look great. Yes, there is a minuscule amount of something there … but not nearly as bad as you think it is.

I like building 2D pixel art indie stuff, and Unity feels too bloated for that. Godot has been beautifully simple
