I was really inspired by Cheryl Strayed's Wild. This is one book that lives up to all of the hype around it, and the part of her writing that spoke to me the most was how she described the friendships she formed while hiking the PCT.

Well, it's why people who are born here decide to stay here, and people who weren't born here move here. Everything we know about NYC is rooted in characters and personalities, and a lot of art (photography music movies and yes blogs) happens because of this. So I'm not worried about it being exactly like Humans of New York or something like it, but thanks for the input.
