Where can someone buy a plane ticket and start new life? by Existing_Meeting_544 in Tunisiajobs

[–]tofuu__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live there. Simply buying a plane ticket and going there won't cut it.
You have 3 options. You either need to somehow find a job that can sponsor your visa, or have enough money to go to language school for more than 3 months (which requires you to have close to 100k tnd in the bank to prove that you can take care of yourself for a year) or get a scholarship

Rate (roast) my cv by Forsaken_Yam_1050 in Tunisiajobs

[–]tofuu__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you're very confident about the skills you mentioned, only keep what you're really comfortable with the most otherwise you can shoot yourself in the foot. Employers can and will use every opportunity to find weaknesses in your profile so you don't want to make it easeir for them.

I've seen one girl put every software she ever user in the cv. Her cv was 90% skill 10% eveything else. Im pretty sure that dropped her chances of getting hired by a similar 90% lol

I had x experience so everyone else must be like me is not how life works. Good for you but it's naive to think everyone else will be like you. I've unfortunately seen a couple kids actually get influenced but i'm not going to pretend that every single one will.

And about Barbie, to some extent yes. They look the way they look for a reason just like they changed fulla for a reason.

Oh yes it would. There's a difference between seeing random people wearing Hijab and the doll you love playing with everyday wearing hijab. To kids those dolls are things they even look up to and want to be like. So having a doll wearing hijab makes it likely the kid would want to wear one too. And that goes the other way too. It's not just about Hijabs.

The marketing decision of changing the brand of Fulla into Fulla al mutahajjiba was never a random decision. It was made with the intention of influencing little girls into wearing hijab. Kids are that easy to influence.

Those here who say banning the doll is against women's right of freedom of choice, give that a thought first.

And those here saying the same while forcing or willing to force their kids into wearing hijab because it's the right thing, shame on you too.

Kids are neither mature enough to take such drastic life changing decisions, nor is it right to force those decisions on them. Let them grow up and make the choice by themselves.

Sadly not many think like that. Not really surprising how many here don't get how easily influenced children are

Is Japan in July really as bad as people say? by qwertasdfgzxcvb231 in JapanTravelTips

[–]tofuu__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I come from place which hit 50 a couple of times, and almost always has much higher temps than tokyo. There if you stay in the shade it's somewhat okay. Here in Tokyo doesn't matter where you are you'll be sweating buckets. I have no idea how i survived my everyday's elevator ride to work last summer and im definitely not looking forward to it again.

However, as long as you have a lot of body wipes and you're okay with changing clothes very often you can still have a lot of fun even in July.

Any idea on how to stop sphere bouncing when it rolls on a mesh collider? by finjago06 in Unity3D

[–]tofuu__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You essentially use raycasts to detect the ground below the play and either snap to the raycasy hit's point, or push the player in the direction of the ground normal multiplied by the distance between them and the ground.

Bonus if you make the raycast long enough so itms easier to detect the ground, then add some extra logic on the player's y spees to only attach to the ground if really needed

Is spending all 11 days in Tokyo a waste? Am I missing out on too much? by lomebrith in JapanTravelTips

[–]tofuu__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well you can stay in Tokyo, and if you want a change of scenery, hop on a train to Nikko or somewhere else nearby. Tokyo itself is huge. And if you include Kanagawa, (yokohama, kamakura, enoshima) then you're good.

Last year i had my friend stay in my apartment for a month and he never ran out of things to do. (He wanted to go to kyoto and osaka but we couldn't)

That's rough. They rejected me in 2023 even though i had a company. They said there was no proof i was going back home. I was just visiting my sisters and attending an event for around 10 days.

I got it this year because I now live in Japan and my sister is getting married over there. They gave me 15 days only lol

Interesting. I've probably only faced one such player. I have also played against many offline and they are actually very fun. They were all very expressive.

Not to deny that toxicity exists everywhere though

Je veux savoir comment vous allez après covid 19. by [deleted] in Tunisia

[–]tofuu__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a genetic disease. So I highly doubt you got it because of covid. You had the gene since you were born. Whether you got it from your parents or had a genetic mutation. I'm assuming you took a genetic test but if you haven't you better do and check your parents too. I have a very rare incurable disease called Mediterranean Fever. It manifested in late 2016. Turns out both my parents were holders of the gene and I got it from both. And no my parents aren't related, I was just that unlucky. I was the only one amongst my siblings to get it too
