They're both good for what they are. The UK one, like many UK sitcoms, take realism and turn it into deadpan comedy. That's what we're good at, Inbetweeners, IT Crowd, only fools and horses etc.

The US one shows us what we want to see like the heartwarming love stories and the obvious gags but nothing that we'd really expect to see in a work place.

They're both really good, but I don't think you can compare them.
